My notes on Damus load in full, so I don’t think so? Unless there is an option I missed
Same round my way 😂 they’re never for yoga people anymore
I have one, it’s not underpowered for a node but it’s only a node. Yeah I run umbrel. You’d need at least the 4gb version
I have a node running on a Pi, it was cheap(ish). Like you say though, not much else that it can do. I’ll upgrade it one day and start self hosting properly
Good morning #nostr 🤙
This is true, and I abandoned Reddit so I don’t mind speaking to this point. I have noticed it’s much harder to get a good stream of information without it and that won’t be replaced by Nostr for a while.
I’ll still be here when it does, but until then the difference will be noticeable

Reddit's finished. It's just going to keep getting worse as they push for IPO.
Why stay on the sinking ship when the future's already being built?

The issue is that Reddit has such a large reach. Basically anyone I knew that held an opinion worth a damn used it.
It’s going to take a while for nostr to catch up with the size of their user base, and in the later stages that was Reddit’s selling point.
Realistically, Reddit is the same now as it was before the API war, the main difference was the fact that 3rd party apps gave people the interfaces and features they wanted. Yes, I understand this is like nostr, but it does remove some of the useful metrics like upvotes.
Overall, I really hope we get an analogous Reddit replacement built on nostr
Free education is one of the most important things Bitcoiners do. Follow and support the people that provide it nostr:note1x0zmms62ze7xuf3vhh96xzkwztul2jgsezkwkjds2yhqf7g2wmkspftd0t
I'll deliver during this week.
On my end I'll use https://lunanode.com for the setup, can vouch for them as privacy friendly place to setup your BTCPay Server.
Sounds awesome mate, thanks. I’ll check it out
Good morning #nostr 🤙
Start of a new week, let’s get it
I did that last month so it would have rugged already 😂
Amidst what's going on lately, I thought it might be a good time to remind everyone that nostr:npub155m2k8ml8sqn8w4dhh689vdv0t2twa8dgvkpnzfggxf4wfughjsq2cdcvg supports both PayJoin and CoinJoin.
So if you're running a BTCPay instance, you can:
1. Withdraw Bitcoin from exchanges with PayJoin, obscuring the amount to outside observers.
2. Auto-initiate CoinJoin when certain conditions are met (desired Bitcoin amount and fee market).
Bonus: You can easily run your own coordinator, mixing your Bitcoin without using mainstream services and coordinators.
This could be a great asset for local communities with regular Bitcoin flows (e.g., DCA of members) to boost privacy collectively.
The best part? It takes about 20 minutes to set up. I'm considering creating a video guide - would you watch it if I did?

I would absolutely watch it. I tried setting up BTCPay server but eventually gave up and went with nodeless. Although the main part of my issue was that umbrel will only run over TOR
I always appreciate education though
That they can pay off with the same credit card
