Paul has some visual gems in his DVD series. The debt treadmill is one of them...

Author Paul Grignon does an excellent job of making the concept of banking to be relatable and comprehensible. I recommend watching it...

Money as Debt is an educational series about banking and the world-wide debt system...
Paul Grignon has an interesting series of DVDs called "Money as Debt"...

I saw an app that displayed the eBook like a few words at a time on just a black screen background... It was called something like focus reader maybe? It reminded me of captions on a YouTube video, but without the distracting video... Yes, video is detracting from book learning... I find myself wanting to listen to an audiobook rather than read. It's sad, but even the book of Kells is another example of reading detractors. And those picture books! 😁
Me too. The FUTO voice keyboard works fairly good for me too... I've even got it running on an android 8 "dumbphone" with the tiny screen and physical number keypad... It's slow to transcribe at like a word every 1-2 seconds, but it's way faster than T9 input.
Bitcoin is not susceptible to a staking attack, but any PoS blockchain is and Ethereum with its $330B means any government or fund with $165B can hijack it.
Current market cap of Bitcoin is $1.25T, current global wealth is $454B. This is a good thing as there is too much money chasing too little supply, hence NGU.
Governments cannot buy enough compute or energy to launch as 51% attack on Bitcoin, but 2 mining pools combining are there already.
Luckily pools are made up of thousands of individuals or companies who collaborate to share rewards.
For me Bitmains dominance in the mining hardware business gives them huge power, but people like nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m are gearing up to provide viable alternatives. What we need is hundreds of Jacks with hundreds of different competitive mining hardware.
I might look to re-enter the semiconductor business to help mitigate this issue soon.
Whatever happened to the bitcoin mining water heater? Plenty of 240v power, heat as a by-product, dependable warranty/replacement schedule to complement network upgrades and rollout hardware MVP... Even if the low grade mining waste heat isn't hot enough to directly overcome the phase transition of water, surely it can be coupled with those newer air-source heat pump water heaters? Combine it with a dedicated home ISP service that could run as a loss leader to gain market adoption. I really want to see freespace optics ISP be a thing... Imagine not having to run fiber everywhere...
Even worse, we ALL do it... We pledge the new car we don't own yet to get the loan we don't have yet... The credit score system is just there to paper over the rampant fraud...
Yes! YouTube of course... Some Canadian cartoonist made them... I felt like a smarty-pants after watching them all the way through... After being in the know, I'd go into the bank and and drop some banker lingo 😁 to see which heads would swivel... Them's the ones working the system... 🤔
I love the "Money as Debt" DVDs... Rehypothecation... 🤔
Mine just started double posting, one's a draft?
I understand the motivation. Take the word "permaculture". Apparently, the word is trademarked because they were trying to start and defend a movement/culture of design principles... They needed a way to repel the me-toos and copycats that didn't share the same core ideals. Defense against hijackers is the main motivation... In todays AI/bot/scam environment, that risk is even higher.
I agree. I will accept the ™ since anyone can do it and good luck defending it, but yeah, the ® is like, they paid good money to the gooberments, signaling that they want to control those words in the English language... And don't fall for the prior art and special words arguments. The truth is that they want the language ubiquity of Clorox/Bleach AND the rights to squash/profit from anyone who tries to use the words...
No, it's immediate reinvestment of today's capital gains!
I'm all nostrd' out for today. Good night cruel internet! 😉
It's nice that they had a pair of crutches ready for him...
Does that thing have a fifth wheel? Yeah buddy!
Who let the targs out?! Who? Who?
