#Bitcoin 🐇🕳️ ⚡️ [Keet.io] [Umbrel] [✝️ 📖]

The ability to directly tune in to other peoples’ data broadcast without an algorithm that may or may not display their data, and may or may not fill my feed with data and topics that the algorithm decides I should see.

I tune in to the signals. The algo doesn’t do it for me.

Well written as always, #[2]

Think of it as 1M going to 1 BTC.

Makes sense now, right?”

“Who’s going to decide?”

“That’s the bloody thing: Who’s gonna decide!”

A description of why being closest to the money printer is advantageous….

——-

“Consider the case of money production. Here too the additional quantities that leave the production process, when sold, first benefit the first owner: the producer. He can buy more goods and services than he otherwise could have bought, and his spending on these things in turn increases the incomes of his suppliers beyond the level they would otherwise have reached.

“But the additional money production reduces the purchasing power of money. It follows that it also creates losers, namely, those market participants whose monetary income does not rise at first, but who have to pay right away the higher prices that result when the new money supply spreads step by step into the economy.

“Money production therefore redistributes real income from later to earlier owners of the new money.”

The Ethics of Money Production

Was at a professional development conference this week. A breakout session on new tech touched on crypto / blockchain benefits to non-profits. The presenter, from TronDao, asked the group “What do you know about crypto?”

An audience participant responded by quoting the release date of the white paper. Heard him talk and immediately knew…

Caught him after the session to chat.

And that’s how I met an IRL fellow bitcoiner at a shitcoin presentation.

Was awesome 😎

The level of content control Nostr provides is such a game changer for me. I can tune in to other Nostriches on specific topics of shared interests without being baited in other directions by an opaque algorithm.

If politics starts to loudly dominate a thread or poster, I can just step away from that voice to regain the signal I’m searching for.

As a result, Nostr feels quite different from Twitter scrolling. More valuable info.

This is actually a fascinating question to me... Even taking away the sexual psychology context...

What should we make of the phenomenon that humans (attempt to?) experience emotional attachment to an AI communicator?

Will probably become an increasingly relevant ? as AI becomes more prevalent.

Makes my head spin. The next 10 years will NOT be boring...

A comprehensive, understandable, and well organized piece.

Really well done, Lyn 💯🙏🏼

I have it bookmarked and ready as an excellent resource to share with others when the opportunity arises.
