So what exactly is the architecture/network route of a zap?

To the non-devs out there, it seems like it fetches their address (LNurl in this case?) creates a BOLT11 on their behalf and then sends it. I’ve noticed the first few characters in the invoice from zaps is always lnbc37 or lnbc69 or lnbc2100 etc.

Talk about genius marketing!!! Nailed it!

Those unzapped…they’re ruining it for all of us.

Look, I found two Ordinals on the ground the other day…completely unique and in no way fungible with any other!

GN PV ✌️💜🤙⚡️

😍 gotta get me one-a dem!

There’s not an ailment in the world that a little bourbon can’t take the edge off of! Prayers for the puppers!!! 🐶

Alright I is a dumb dumb…

Has anyone gotten #Nostore to work on safari web browser? Tried Badges.page and Nostrgram.co and they aren’t signing-in.

Help a Pleb out!

In my plebeian opinion: Nostr is just using a different form of login than a User generated ID and password combo that a given company holds an matches to your profile. However, the pubkey is stored on the relays unless they purge it and everything is encrypted unless you have the private key to unencrypt it. You can’t take that identity with you to say Twitter or your bank and say, this is who I am because I can prove it with key signatures (yet, maybe one day it will be there) and not actually share any private data.

DIDs are identities built using cryptography that you “custody” and can control who has access to it for verification/marketing/login etc. that contains private info. You can revoke access at any time since you control it and take it to anyone using that protocol, but like a govt issued ID card, it says you are who you say you are but with the added benefit of not having to reveal private info unless you want to.

Very similar but also different. NIP-05 is a step towards maybe some portable identities but don’t think it’s as flushed as what #[2] and team are attempting at TBD.

Mike/ #[3] am I sort of on track with my understanding?

Looks like I’m learning to code

Holy moly!!! Had no idea that worked like that!!

Oh the zap is on!!!!⚡️⚡️⚡️

Is a Naka 100 BTC or even 1m BTC?!? Also makes you an obligatory whale status of course. Haha

Hmm but that doesn’t seem right. If we were to use a similar 100 base system to make the easiest transition for people, it would need one less decimal place as a BTC/Satoshi is 100 million, the BTC/Finney should be 1 million not 10 million to match. Right?

I am, but I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m still slow opening WoS and waiting for auth or sometimes it never going through. Help me out!

Oh god no lol, I can barely convert BTC to Sats and it’s fairly simple. My dumb self would be like, “ok we got 19 Fins…that’s 19x2100. Wait so I divide or multiply?”
