Anyone got some popcorn? I’ve ran out! 🍿🍿🍿

I’m not sure if you’re being funny or serious so I’ll leave sarcasm out in case you are serious or for those who really don’t know and are curious.
Circle, the backer/company of USDC holds 25% of reserves in cash across 6 banks, one being SVB. All parts being equal, that’s 4.16% of $44b or ~$2b held at SVB (Probably more if they really liked them) that are now essentially worthless meaning the token isn’t actually worth $1 because it isn’t backed 1:1 and now 1:0.96. Hence the sell off, which depegs further and could put further strain on the remaining 5 as well as USDC holders try to sell for cash.
Grab a beverage and pull up a chair. This could get wild! 🥃🪑🍿🎆
Haha got a good 15yr scotch and enjoying this and glad I pulled any USDC out months ago.
Holy cow!!! This is the last hour by the minute…so much for “stable” coin huh?
And so it begins:

You know who isn’t banking at SVB? The Bitcoin CEO… man he’s so smart!

I’ve seen the NUC a lot when looking, but have seen the Asus mini. I got my hands on refurbed Lenovo ThinkCenter mini that might do the trick, but it only had 256g SSD so I’d have to buy a 1-2TB external for it.
Both my Pi’s are the newest Gen with 8g and they do fine running the blockchain and mempool and lightning. This was just a cheap box I had lying around and was playing with.
Jack, please tell me you texted him that he’s an idiot and that’s the dumbest thing you’ve heard! Surely you’ve got his number.
Lulz good one Zuck! This will go as well as Diem did…

Sadly, my #[0] relay hath bitten thy fine earthly dust and the cooling fan has left this world.
To be fair, it was a cheap Foxconn device built for Ubiquiti as an NVR, and then I loaded Linux and Umbrel just playing around. I’m not an CS engineer, so I’m just happy it didn’t go sentient and turn on me.
Who’s got food reqs on home servers like a Pi? I’ve got 2 pi’s and honestly want to try something different.
I would have to defer to the likes of #[0], #[1], #[2], or #[3] for more in-depth insights, but based on the latest Mortgage Monitor from Black Knight, the housing market doesn’t seem like it will be the first to crack this time.
As expected, the hotter markets are having some local bubbles popping, while smaller markets are remaining flat or even showing low price growth.
Delinquencies rates and severity are lower or right at pre-pandemic levels. Loan originations are down, but that is expected with higher rates. The only really worrisome item to note is the Payment to Income ratio is near 2008 levels, but even that has started to fall for now.
If cracks are forming in the US economy, I don’t think it will be housing this time just based off of a quick look of this latest report. Anyone with a more in-depth thought?

I don’t wanna be that guy, but now is as good of time as any to bust out the: Definitely NGMI!!!
Just remember, “apps” like Facebook, Twitter, TikTok and more spend billions on teams of Devs and still have bugs and have to update often. If it was easy, everyone would do it. 👍
Oh geez auto-correct 🤦♂️. Than again…maybe #[5] can create a new pod called Preston & Pysh and focus on just Nostr. Haha
You will have to dig, but I replied to somebody the other day with his interview with Preston and Pysh that was phenomenal as well.
For about 30 seconds and then realized even with global filtering set to a few relays, it was still complete chaos.
Tried to rescue a few poor souls, but failed. I shall try again this weekend!
