Agree 100%. I've been fasting 18 hours a day for about 6 years now and I cannot recommend it enough. I'm also convinced the recommended daily caloric intake is too high - most people don't need to eat anywhere near that much.

Were Modern Depictions of Jesus based on Cesare Borgia? historydefined.net/cesare-bo… (https://www.historydefined.net/cesare-borgia-jesus/)

The oldest known icon of Christ was painted in the fifth or sixth century and Eusebius, writing in the third, references a statue of Jesus (maybe in his native Caesarea, I don't remember exactly where) which had been there since the time of the apostles and was said to be an accurate likeliness of Christ. The beard and long, centre-parted hair go way, WAY back but nice try, Redditor.

We all know the first AI oligarch is waiting in the wings. Maybe it'll be Altman (or whatever his name is), or possibly someone else, but whoever becomes the public face of AI will be nothing more than a front man for DARPA.

DARPA wants to rethink the fundamentals of AI to include trust

And if there's anyone we can trust to prioritise "trust" it's DARPA.

I got into gospel via Spacemen 3 (lol) and there's a very raw and hypnotic current running through it that I really love. I'll make it a Sunday ritual to post more.
I'm also thinking of posting more stuff from 1920s, 30s and 40s.
These performative outrage cycles have become such depressing rituals at this stage.
Our actors will work for peanuts.
The quality is actually remarkable for an Australian product. Usually our stuff is painfully amateurish.
Yeah, that makes sense - semi-captive market. Over here it was on between the news and the Simpsons. We also have laws that require the TV stations screen a certain amount of locally-produced content but I think it was the UK that was keeping the show in production.
Of course, the area in Melbourne where the fictional suburb is set has been full of Chinese and Vietnamese immigrants for a couple of decades now.

Apparently this is still the most important story in the world.

Don't pretend you've never heard of it. You love it. Everyone loves it. The media wouldn't like to me about this.
Little of Australian media actually makes it out of the country because it's utterly awful - or at least it was when I entered my bubble and I've heard nothing to suggest it's improved since then. Those rare things that do escape are probably decent, aside from Neighbours which I always assumed the Brits watched for some ironic reason.
Damn, Barry Humphries died. I wish I could find a good live clip of him as Sir Les Patterson in all his glory but sadly there are only TV appearances, which were incredibly tame by camparison. You'll just have to take my word for it that he was incredible.
That's weird - I would've thought they'd just flip it round for the American market.
I quite like it too and my kids live it but in Australia we're told it's one of the biggest TV shows in the world and I have no idea if this is even remotely true or not.
IT'S REAL AND EVERYONE LOVES IT. AUSTRALIAN TV IS THE ENVY OF THE WORLD.
