I think they'll hang onto it as an empty ritual so they can continue to blather on about "democracy." The platitudes about voting and democracy seem to increase in proportion to how hard the boot is coming down. I think you're more likely to see them bring in compulsory voting like we have in Australia. The elections will all be fixed, of course.

Are you referring to this? Anyone whose experience of the internet is using big tech platforms to consume msm swill deserves everything that's coming to them.

We've lost a few good ones and I'm not seeing anyone new stepping up to take their place. Not a good sign, tbh.

It does have a bit of an African sound now that you mention it.

There's good math rock out there, like Battles, Don Caballero and Hella, but there's also a bunch that copies the intricate guitar sound from the clip above. I mean, they're ripping off great source material but, as you said, Crimson deserve even more credit than they get.

90% of math rock is just ripping off this one King Crimson track.

The guy apparently doesn't know anything about any of the companies he supposedly runs. It's almost like he's some sort of stooge or lying sack of shit.

People really are rushing to cough up their bullshit opinions about events which may or may not be taking place thousands of miles away, based on sketchy reports from their favourite propaganda sources. And just when it seemed things couldn't get any more tiresome.

First, but probably not the last.

We have these in Australia. They're mostly harmless.

Kind of makes you wonder how committed some of these so-called bitcoin maxis are to the principles which underpin it and how many of them simply see it as a get-rich-quick scheme. Half of them seem no better than the average shitcoiner to me.

Well, we've seen again and again that those who know better are severely punished for going against media narratives but it's interesting to see that same dynamic play out with an event like this. Interesting as well that suddenly it all came out the moment the media's oxygen countdown clock reached zero. It was like an embargo was lifted.

It's not just the implosion story either. As soon as the countdown ended they suddenly announced they'd found wreckage in the what you would imagine was the first place you'd think they'd look. I wouldn't be surprised if we learn they'd known about that for a few days as well.
