I created a nostr:npub1h2qfjpnxau9k7ja9qkf50043xfpfy8j5v60xsqryef64y44puwnq28w8ch account. Sent a few says to it from my Primal wallet. But I don’t see anywhere in Coinos that shows or provides me with an NWC address. What am I missing?

This is so fraked up! This shit has got to get sorted out. It feels as though rather than build for compatibility, the devs just spin up a new NIP or protocol with a new name and that only works for their wallet.

Am I wrong or is this lightning wallet a total fraking debacle?

It’s all over! We had a fun run while it lasted. Time to throw in the towel. Everyone else was right…

I love Damus and want to make it my primary app, but can’t find a simple lightning wallet that I can use for iOS and browser. Not urgent but would *love* to solve this and be on Damus only.

Did y'all read the vulnerability in detail? If you don't have access to near perfect lab conditions and incredibly expensive high-end equipment you cannot do this. In other work, this is a theoretical vulnerability for most. I was able to switch to new Yubikeys, but transitioning my passkeys and other creds was a PITA.

I actually wrote a shirt blog post about making my first Kydex sheath for my Fallkniven knife. Had most of the steps, the supplies needed and a link to a few videos I found useful when I started. Here >> https://briangreen.net/kydex_sheath

and this is why we need a simple, easy to follow, guide on getting started with Nostr and things like NIP-05 verification. I looked when I started and it was not at all intuitive.

BitBees - yes, if you set up a new wallet, you simply add the new lightning address in the field on your profile and save it. That will then replicate across all the clients that pull your Nostr profile. One update, shown everywhere.

The challenge is what wallet to use and picking one that you v=can use on a mobile device, in a browser, and whichever client you prefer (Primal, Damus, Iris, Rabbit, etc., etc.) Some work with certain wallets but not all. There's NWC (Nostr wallet connect) but not all support it. The only way I know of to do this and have thorough control (without a paid subscription service that costs more than your zaps each month) is to install a Lightning node on your own server and manage it. But that is a LOT of work for most people and a total barrier to adoption for many!

TL;DR - my first wallet was via the nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg iOS app. Super easy, up and running and zapping folks in minutes, but I've heard recently no one can get it to activate - so there's that.

I played with Chasu.me wallet which works great, but you actually end up having multiple cashu.me wallets across platforms/clients and multople backups of seed phrases, it was a whole thing. I'm still searching for a simple solution that is cross-client compatible other than setting up my own server/node.

ugh - sorry for my piss poor grammar and spelling.

Playing around with some DIY #Kydex sheath making for small stabby things. Turned out pretty nice. #make #diy #knives

I actually made a replica out of aluminum so that I could form hot Kydex over it to make snap on protective covers. Worked great, but when I switched to USB-C I didn't have the energy to make a new metal template.

you've said more than once that you tend to make things more complicated than necessary, but now I look it wasn't even your note! ;-)
