i did watch the whole thing so I am a sucker in that regard haha. Thing is you want to believe so you’re brain try’s to rationalize to hold out hope.
It was on Discovery channel I think, made the mainstream news too. Looking it up now it classified as a mockumentary haha. They architected the show to be like they found proof of a mermaid and they just kept replaying over and over this grainy clip of a mermaid-like figure slithering into the water. They brought on scientists to analyze the video. Total BS. Got people pretty good at the time tho.
Many a hours spent on discovery science channel unraveling that mystery haha. Is it weather? Is it methane gas rising from ocean floor? 🤯

Nostr is the essence of what people describe as Web3 moreso than any other crypto project that I’ve come across.
Might it have something to do with lighting producing nitrate as well? Fungi love the Nitrogen

Lack of critical thinking possibly?
Once you buy into a narrative like Web3, crypto, blockchain, tokenized communities, NFTs and all the hype about how it’s going to change to the world, it’s hard to realize a lot of that crap isn’t a true value add, and that Bitcoin itself is the innovation that everyone in the Web3/crypto/blockchain space is actually describing.
I also think a lot of people are brainwashed/programmed with the fiat mindset of chasing the next buck instead of low time preference, saving, building things that last.
This mindset doesn’t allow them the time to do the research and understand bitcoins potential. And you can’t pump bitcoin like you can some newfangled token.
Fiat state of mind is poison. We def got a good thing going here.
