Ask them how they feel about protecting their thoughts. Will they accept the brain reading devices and shrug it off with a stupid "i got nothing to hide"? Bring up politicians or ideologies in power they dislike and ask if they feel safe with them being the caretakers of allowed thoughts. Don't make it hypothetical. Show them the videos of western elites borderline climaxing at the tech conferences showing this off. Now they won't need to remember anything, Google, or whomever, will do it all for them!

Yea, I am aware of all of that. It was inevitable when a few years ago the Trudeau government changed the law so that it is deemed "abuse" to not refer to your children by their preferred pronouns. This means they can take the kids away and put into FACS. It happened enough already, usually to the childs detriment. FACS is much worse than parents that dont call you by the names you want, I can say that with experience.
