Maybe it’s obvious but simple is so powerful.
If you’re in austin you’re not too late to make it to abdc: https://www.meetup.com/austin-bitcoin-design-club/
If you aren’t in austin check out the great links #[0] put together: https://abdc.dev/topics.html#mar29-2023
Archived my nostr-rs repo and pointed it at https://github.com/rust-nostr/nostr. So grateful for the work by #[0] and others on that project. It’s a joy to use!
Looking for a simple to run relay impl for local testing. Any suggestions? Nostream seems nice but too much config. Trying out nostr-rs-relay rn.

I would love to see a survey in the style of https://survey.stackoverflow.co/2022/ for bitcoin.
How did you hear about bitcoin? What are your favorite podcasts? How many in-person bitcoin events have you attended? Do you self-custody? What wallet(s) do you use?
Would be really informative for where and how to focus educational efforts.
Especially nice is seeing responses over time, which is really well visualized in a survey like https://stateofjs.com/en-us/

My takeaway from nostrica: specialization and decommodification. The generic, naive thing doesn’t usually scale, so a specialized solution will likely win. Follower counts is a great example: a service that only counts followers is simple and small. Doing it naively is almost intractable already.
I love helix and try to switch every month or two, I’m just so dependent on gui for file management in big projects
Love this update format
ABDC meets tonight in austin, here are the topics we’ll be discussing: https://abdc.dev/topics.html#feb22-2023
Thank you so much just used it today!
And then i guess I’ll teach tailwind and then our whole team can be made obsolete
If you’re in austin please allow me to teach you Rust this saturday. Naturally using BDK.
I think perhaps it’s the personal responsibility side of freedom. On Twitter we gain clout for yelling at whoever is doing it wrong. On nostr we take responsibility to build the solutions we need.
