How long does normally apple take to approve new versions of apps?

In most cases less than 24 hours. But there can be quite a long tail in some cases. Anything for a few days to weeks if there is something they don't like.

keyboard on mini iphone covers up the comment field & can’t move things around to see what i’m typing.

and difficult (unclear where to tap) to get the keyboard to go away to send the zap with the button at the bottom.

also, for some reason for me i usually have to try zapping a second time to actually zap (on WoS with my default amount)
