A guy sends me a polite email, and says in a couple paragraphs that 1) he doesn't really see any role for bitcoin in a portfolio, it has no intrinsic value, and it just trades on sentiment and also that 2) it threatens USD hegemony and so politicians are likely going to add friction to it.

So I'm like, well, if there's nothing particularly valuable about it to give it any value or consideration for a portfolio, why does it threaten USD hegemony? Like, it threatens the largest and most globally salable monetary network in the world while having no intrinsic value, no portfolio role, while just being a thing that trades on sentiment?

In light of the latest Apple news on Damus it’s wise to understand that, we have some of the greatest minds here on Nostr- the likes of Jack, Fiatjaf, Rabble and many, many others that surely will do whatever they can to appease Apple.

These people have more experience and knowledge in this field than we will ever know, so let’s leave it to the experts to handle it and we keep our cool.

However, we must also remember that whatever protocol we use that we are all in this together and together we will come through it.

For the last 10+ years I haven't been able to drink milk without having major stomach issues. I still would though from time to time, but I knew I would feel awful in about 20 minutes and spend a lot of time in the bathroom. I figured I became lactose intolerant as I had gotten older. It happens.

Well, I had a small glass of milk two weeks ago and it didn't kill me. I thought it was odd, but no biggie. The next day I had a full glass for an experiment. No issues. Every day this week I've drank a glass and I have been fine.

“The transactions in your block are following consensus rules. Your block won’t be rejected.”

Forcing people to act truthfully and transparently within a monetary system. This has compounding effects.

The Microstrategy conference was outstanding, and also reminded me how few people really understand #Bitcoin and #Nostr but are willing to learn in an open and constructive environment.
