For the last 10+ years I haven't been able to drink milk without having major stomach issues. I still would though from time to time, but I knew I would feel awful in about 20 minutes and spend a lot of time in the bathroom. I figured I became lactose intolerant as I had gotten older. It happens.

Well, I had a small glass of milk two weeks ago and it didn't kill me. I thought it was odd, but no biggie. The next day I had a full glass for an experiment. No issues. Every day this week I've drank a glass and I have been fine.

WTF?

What has changed????? Any healthcare #healthstr 😂 folks have any ideas?

I don't know what has happened to my body but I'm hoping it lasts. I love milk dammit. Oat milk is alright, but I much, much prefer the real thing.

Same. Except I’m not brave enough to experiment now.

My dad thought he was lactose intolerant for 30 years.

I preached keto to him…. He finally budged.

Now he’s off insulin, and eats cheese and drinks milk. 🤣

Thats awsome!

i just started using lactid whenever i knew i was going to eat a bunch of dairy. i'm not much of a milk drinker besides half and half in my coffee but i'll be damned if i give up cheesy pasta and creamy dishes.

I never had issues with cheese, just milk and ice cream. I would have been upset if I could eat cheesey dishes 🥹

I can do it in small doses. but if i eat too much then it's definitely an uncomfortable evening in the bathroom.

If I forget the lactid.

Same!!! But someone said you might grow out of it over time

A change in your microbiota.

Excessive consumption of dairy could deregulate it again, depending on the pleb.

This is exactly what I was going to say… your gut bacteria are dynamic. What you consume or remove from your diet can influence the balance.

I don't believe my diet has changed at all. I ate a lot of raw honey from Costa Rica throughout April 😂 That's the only difference. I generally eat healthy.

How long did you stay away from fresh dairy products lately? Honey could have had an impact

It’s so hard to work out. It might be the honey and it might just be a cessation from dairy for a while that invoked the change and now it’s ok until the balance changes again. This is the unspoken truth among the scientific community. No one really knows until proven with repetitive reproducible results. The rest is all theory and hypothesis. The human body is massively complex and varies genetically form one individual to the next that there is so often not one size (or solution) that fits all. Follow your body and gut is the best way. You’ve noticed this change. Enjoy milk. Stop again if it doesn’t agree with you. Dynamic. #BeInTune

Here's what happened:

You became BULLISH. 🐮

Bullish on dairy!

Nobody know anything.

We're just out here trying to survive.

Bend over.. let’s take a look.

🎚️

🧐

What you know is that some people can’t tell the right time even if their life depends on it.

📚

Try Raw Milk now.

Oat milk / Nut milks are awful for you. Look at the ingredients and think about where the water in them is coming from and what’s sprayed on them at large scale to keep bugs off.

Oat milka reminds me of a creamy oatmeal stout, which just so happen to be one of my favorite beers 🫂

I've never had raw milk. 👀 I've wanted to try it over the years to see if there was better for me.

Not sure but getting lactose intolerant with age isn’t uncommon. I use Lactaid when needed and dairy substitutes. You will realize it’s not the end of the world and non dairy foods are plenty!

Store bought milk is also watered down from a nutrient standpoint. All the milks been heated (pasteurized) removing a lot of healthy bacteria and nutrients.

I know what happened. Bitcoin fixed this

It took a while for someone to post the correct answer.

Did you change anything in your habits?

Different way of eating?

Which parameters changed?

What type of milk was it that went fine?

Have you been taking pre/probiotics recently?

You could be In Remission , like someone else said , moderation. Is wise so you don’t throw your balance off again.

Your gut micro biome changes over time…I highly recommend you get a full body intelligence test from Viome.com

Raw milk will heal ya right up pal. Goat is the most digestible, but even heritage breed cows like Jersey are far easier to digest than factory Holsteins. #goatstr

I used to have the same issue. Couldn't have even a small amount of milk without stomach and bowel issues. Now, since I changed a lot in my diet and habits I can drink as much milk as I want. I quit smoking, cut down on alcohol to very little, started eating mostly animal protein and fats, removed seed oils completely, limited refined sugars, started eating more fruit, sleeping more, daily exercising, meditating, doing breath work and cold exposure. There's a lot of changes , but I bet that some of them helped me with processing milk.

Guessing it wasn't raw milk.

Maybe you're avoiding seed oils/increasing animal fats?

Maybe you're getting more sun and have a healthier immune system?

Maybe they debt issues have caused the overlords to decrease the chemtrail budget.

Best answer! 😆

Have you tried raw milk? IMO they’re way better than normal milk. And people with lactose intolerant is fine with it so I’ve heard.

I have not.

I just got another bottle. I’m not a big fan of milk but I love these, drink em everyday.

Antibiotics can cure lactose intolerance, maybe you took them because of something else.

Research Dr Ray Peat if you want to dig deeper.

Also never ever drink fake milk, its the worst.

I have s couple of self immune issues and when they are flairing I am intolerant to certain foods but not when I am ok. So for me it is perfectly normal that my tolerance to foods vary. Strawberries range from yum to blister my tongue depends on the day.

yes. this is also a known.

(if i remember corectly) strawberries are known to induce histamin releasement of mastcells.

Composition of your gut of microbiome likely changed and it can process it better now.

sounds plausible

Oat milk is fucking horrendous for you. Comon ross you better than that

北海道ミルクは最高だよ🥛

Btw Water Buffalo 🐃 milk might be better for you, in case if you start having problem with your stomach.

Your gut microbiome, especially bacteria, has probably changed for some reason.

Funny thing, here in the Netherlands drinking milk with breakfast and lunch, at schools or in the office is just the normal thing to do. All supermarkets offer large ‘fresh’ (cooled) milk sections. (The milk is ‘pasteurized’, can be consumed for about a week after purchase).

If a baby stops drinking milk, it can be difficult to start drinking again at a later age. In the Netherlands most people just never stop drinking milk after birth… 🤓
