Im Grunde reiht sich die Vision Pro in eine lange Reihe von Innovationen zum Bedienen von Computern ein, die Apple auszeichnet. Das fing an mit Tastatur und Monitor des Apple I, als die Konkurrenten mit Schaltern und 7-Segment-Anzeigen operierten. Dann kam die Maus, das Scroll-Wheel des iPod, Multitouch, danach passive Sensorik (Watch) und jetzt Immersive Computing, also das Einsaugen der ganzen Welt in den Computer. Jeder Schritt macht Computerleistung zugänglicher für mehr Leute, auch wenn es anfangs total nerdy wirkt.

Insofern bin ich ziemlich sicher, dass das ein Riesenhit wird. Besonders wenn es sich nicht in Richtung immer dünnere Brille entwickelt, sondern in Richtung immer umfassenderer Helm.

This seems to be an optimization problem. Certain statistics will probably predict the probability of a UTXO being used in the next x days again like amount, age, prevout, etc and maybe those UTXOs above a threshold probability could have a favorable spot in memory and others live on disk. This would have to be a very heuristic and rule-based approach, statistical models would have to be kept up to date etc... which iss all not really ideal. Maybe there's a better way?

The real fix seems to be utreexo which feels a few years away still.
