That's good to hear. I thought it was a good discussion and I really enjoyed it. The best any of us can do is be intellectually honest, and my perception of you in your interviews is you always try your best to model that, this interview included. It's hard to not respect that.
This episode with nostr:npub1hyqrsvl6hle8r5rc9cpshesm0mpcee75tgde4p5lhke5h83dyqqqdwk7cp is really good, especially as a reality check against our common narratives. Everyone should give this a listen. 🙌 nostr:note1f7dkgrh5efhv94canflufk3grvtrmgjz5kakz3q03v90dsyhy84qf9a7gk
Mike has been busy with podcasts lately. I'm listening to a recent episode of another podcast with him as a guest too. :)
When I'm asked the question by newbies about why can't we just change the code, I use a golf analogy. So, let's say you own a golf course and want to make it easier and more accessible for new people. What you do is increase the hole to 1ft diameter. It's your golf course and you can go what you want. However, if you want the PGA to adopt the change, you now have to convince the majority of golf clubs to make the change. Of course, many, if not all of them have incentives to tell you to go stuff your proposed change, and that is likely what will happen.
I love this. Let everyone come; let learning about hard money and Bitcoin change them like it changed me.

Wondering how much effort it would be to write a script to auto share Canadian news to social platforms to give a giant middle finger to Bill C18.
Last few days my battery usage is really high. Turns out Amethyst accounts for about a quarter of my battery usage, and I only use it a couple times a day.
Anyone else noticing this?
Guys nostr:npub14mcddvsjsflnhgw7vxykz0ndfqj0rq04v7cjq5nnc95ftld0pv3shcfrlx is getting into too much trouble on twitter.
Pete, keep us posted over here on Argentina, bet you’ll get some good discussion 🤝
Pretty sad treatment of him, really. At no point did he endorse shitcoins, he was just stating what he observed.
Hahaha. Seen on another social platform.

Love this band.
"What's your plan for tomorrow?
Are you a leader or will you follow?
Are you a fighter or will you cower?
It's our time to take back the power."
Hard pass, thanks, especially if the "experimenting" involves an obfuscated road map and centralized decision making.

Bear markets are really like a natural selection process for the people who get why this matters. The others just see the price point and no more.
Dang. That would've been super cool to see. I choose to believe that at some point he said something like:
There. Will. Only. Ever. Be. Twenty. One. Million. Bitcoin.
No it's not. It's a cynical combination of whataboutism and ad hominem - neither of which are logically valid arguments.
Hey, it’s my first blog post in like 20 years. I feel like I have stuff to say. https://medium.com/@mike.brock/the-politics-of-virtue-versus-the-politics-of-consequence-dfbe6932ab83
Really great article. I know this is somewhat hyperbolic, but extending this, the logical conclusion to the politics of virtue is that we've all done wrong things in our lives and made mistakes so none of us have any business intervening when we see any wrong being committed.
💯 I've always had a rebellious and insubordinate streak. Love this community!
Also, is this just another canary in the coal mine for the App Store, thinking back to the recent fight they had with Epic Games.
Having said that, the App Store is over of their main sources of revenue. For users and app developers, it's a gatekeeper. But what does Apple do when the fence is gone? Apple needs to seriously ponder this question.
