Working on https://oak-node.net

nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5 have you considered Nostr Wallet Connect as alternative to tor?

It now only supports paying and getting the balance, but in principle it could also do create invoice or list payments.

Keeps making me wait.

Such a pity, they could have added a paywall option to not have to wait.

A Nostr note from the future

What happens if a simple like triggers such a "monetary gift"?

What if you have a bot running somewhere, listening for your likes, and each time you like a note it finds the LN Address of the author and tips some sats.

Would Apple ban likes?

Would Apple even whether this is happening or not?

Oak Node v0.3.7 just went live on Umbrel Store

Highlights:

- NIP-47 Nostr Wallet Connect: Create any amounts of secrets, pair via QR code with Amethyst, Onyx, Snort or any Nostr app that supports NWC to send zaps and LN payments directly from your node

- PoW Pub: support for npub and vanity pubkeys

What a coincidence, I was thinking the same.

Definitely a step in the right direction. Good looking and simple to use.

I'm just thinking that Alby becomes a honeypot. With the NWC connection strings, it's basically direct access into the wallets of users.

Risk doesn't exist for those who run the planner app themselves though. Hmm, might check it out!

Wen NIP-47 Nostr Wallet Connect?

The commits over the last 2-3 days made gossip considerably faster and smoother.

Loving it!

If the goal is to "zap", maybe.

If the goal is to send sats for a note, thats already possible using any Nostr client: nostr:note1qqq8pgp23k394cukg4w9mgfjh54z9jhyjukqan582rkks36rhs5s620vev

Thanks, this is very cool! Simple and elegant.

Using your own node, but you still trust them to trigger payments. The schedule, amount and destination is fully in their control.

So tending more towards custodial IMO.
