send me the link for this, please
Is this open source?, I want to make a version for NIP-17
yes, it still on alpha-stage, so it didn't store any credentials yet (trust me π).

Coop, a Nostr direct message client for desktop
π cross-posted from https://ccns.news
Thank for sharing my project, it's still under development. You can try with the master branch (the latest release is quite old).
today, influencers discovered that water is wet. π€£
nostr-crdt π
What are their products? π€
I've deleted my Instagram account, it was filled with ai slop, and I couldnβt even see beautiful girls anymore.
windows font rendering is suck with 1080p screen, you need at least 200 dpi for look good, and the last time I use windows, hdr barely work π
btw, I'm spending more money for this:

I've tested fedora with gnome 48 in a few days, at least it work fine for my daily tasks. The only issue is sleep barely work well, fractional scaling still suck.
I prefer low spec products but not low quality
The more I grow up, the more I lose interest in high-end tech.
BEFORE:
- Monitor: 4K OLED, HDR10, glossy...
- Phone: iPhone or top-tier Android phones
- GPU: RTX 4000+
- Keyboard: Only used mechanical keyboards
- Headphones: Premium Bluetooth earbuds with ANC
AFTER:
- Monitor: 1080p IPS is fine
- Phone: Any budget Chinese Android phone works
- GPU: iGPU are sufficient, no dGPU needed
- Keyboard: $10 no-brand keyboard
- Headphones: $5 Xiaomi wired earbuds with 3.5mm jack
The only high-end device I still own is a MacBook, solely because it runs macOS. I'll switch to a ThinkPad once Linux improves.
the new material design is pretty good
just like https://auth.nostr1.com/ is ok, only allow gift wrap and require auth
GM. I'm starting my day with coffee and going through a batch of bug reports from fiatjaf π₯

they use dual mode like calvard arc, action mode for gain advantage before battle, then turn into turn base mode
so give me your required spec.
like: which kinds you want accept? what features do you need? do you want blossom or nip-86? which methods?
then ill develop one for you. :salute:
fyi: https://github.com/dezh-tech/alienos is also a lightweight relay which don't need any extra services and its 100% manageable using nip86!
just simple like wss://auth.nostr1.com/
only store gift wrap events and require auth
hi reya!
we have a repo that contains required docker files to run immo v0.0.9 here:
https://github.com/dezh-tech/jelly-ops
if you had aby question or details, just create an issue or tell us on nostr.
immo is a heavy relay and requires these services to be used:
- kraken (which manages immo through grpc. you can look at grpc interface and develop a manager based on your own requirements as well)
- redis, for caching and balck/white listing.
- mongo db as database.
it helps you to scale and manage it properly. if you used immo, we completely support you in case of software.
also, we need some code/protocol layer change regarding to nip-17 which i believe you can help on it, if you want tell me so i can contact you about it.
if you think immo is too much heavy for your use case, you can go with these as well:
1. give us time so we can add a single instance mode to immo.
2. a b2b partnership with nostr:nprofile1qqst72lw22q3f8rux5846y4wxt63f3uxflcsspgc9aqhs5uv93ppqpcpz4mhxue69uhk5etvd3ukv6tndqhxcctwvshszrnhwden5te0dehhxtnvdakz7qghwaehxw309aex2mrp0yh8qunfd4skctnwv46z7rsvwnd so we handle the any server-side concept for you.
3. developing a light weight relay on https://github.com/dezh-tech/ddsr that's designed for nip-17. if you want i can do it.
if you need any helps we will be happy to help. also, here is my tg handle for more discussions: @os3ch
I prefer the lightweight solution like https://github.com/dezh-tech/ddsr
Hi nostr:npub1h49w8en79xty6j2pwgnpm3znjhyf767jua6xgt3kvyn3w80ms86s2z9kay , Do you have documentation for setting up a public relay using https://github.com/dezh-tech/immortal ? Iβd like to configure one specifically for NIP-17 support.
As a dev, I always want to improve my app. But it's hard to determine what's needed or not... so just do it, collect feedback, and then improve again π.
Otakus Follow Pack. Ping me if you want to be added to the list.
I'm always treat bitcoin as money, use it whenever I can, or convert to fiat if not. I don't understand why my money need some new features every months/years π₯²
Agree, I still skeptical about communities, I don't think coop really need this.
Yes, I've a plan for invite feature, user will have a url, share it with their friend via tradition platforms (sms, mail,..), then other user can be onboarding via this url
After carefully reviewing nostr:npub1r0rs5q2gk0e3dk3nlc7gnu378ec6cnlenqp8a3cjhyzu6f8k5sgs4sq9ac feedback, I realize that I struggle to explain things clearly to new users. Some features make sense when you have data, but for new users, they can be quite confusing.
Hereβs what Iβm working on to improve the experience:
- Add a proper onboarding process to give a brief introduction to the app.
- Make the folder feature optional - itβs useful for organizing 100+ chats, but for new users with fewer than 10 chats, it can be confusing.
- Add a contact search feature for easier connections.
- Add a self-chat option for saving notes.
- As a chat app, it feels pretty boring when you have no contacts or ongoing conversations. You open the app and just see a blank screen. I plan to improve this by adding public channels and communities.
