Bitcoiners should stop simping to any political banner or system and realize that they are a new kind of power unto themselves.

It will only be with the full realization of this that peoples will start to organize the new political dynasty and possibilities for a future freed from the lies and corruption of a monetary system that is tied to the current system of party politics.

Sorry about your dad's passing. Like you said, memories will stay with you. I was hesitant at first because I was attached to the memories. I reliased that I can keep the photos and the memories. My motivations are:

1.) My data. Leaving it on Facebook would mean someone else is capitalising on my data even though I was not using it. It does not sit well with me.

2.)Setting an example. I have nieces and nephews, they are addicted to FB. So if I make a point, I need to show it by action. My family is in the Philippines. Their way of contacting me is through FB Messenger. When I deleted it. It forces them to use other apps like Simplex.

3.) I have out grown Meta and Mark Zuckerberg! Want nothing from his app.

In short, the reasons for deleting it must be important for you. Otherwise, you will waver when you review the photos and face the memories. It must be your courage — the reasons. ☺️

Spent time with a bunch of good Bitcoiner friends. Most of them don't use nostr. All of them urged to explain why they don't without being asked to do so. An indication of a bad conscience, I guess that's good for nostr but it doesn't really matter. Anyway, what's their reason? They haven't seen nostr used for much more than "just social media".

Obviously, they're retarded and wrong and I love them. But that doesn't matter either. They don't know that the most exciting use cases of nostr are beyond a Twitter clone and it seems that that's what would make them reconsider it, but I don't believe them really. I think they don't care and made up a bunch of nonsense excuses because they feel the social pressure from their Bitcoiner peers.

Anywho, I noticed that I have a more pleasant experience pasting my private key and using the default browser relays, vs using my browser extension because it doesn't have my relays preconfigured.
