Tales Of CROM (Conan short story’s by me)

In the ancient land of Cimmeria, there lived a warrior named Tharn. Tharn was known far and wide for his unmatched strength and skill in battle. He had faced countless foes and emerged victorious, but he was not content. Tharn sought to prove himself worthy of Crom's favor, for he believed that Crom was the only god worth praying to and that he would grant him the ultimate test of his prowess.

One day, Tharn heard of a fearsome creature that terrorized a nearby village. It was said to be a massive serpent with scales as black as night, capable of devouring whole villages in a single gulp. Tharn saw this as the opportunity he had been waiting for, and he set out to confront the creature, determined to prove himself to Crom.

Tharn tracked the serpent deep into the heart of a dense forest, where he finally came face to face with the monstrous creature. The serpent was immense, with eyes that gleamed with malevolence and fangs as long as Tharn's arm. It lunged at him with incredible speed, but Tharn met the attack head-on, wielding his trusty sword and shield.

The battle was fierce, with the serpent's massive body coiling and striking with deadly precision. Tharn fought with all his might, dodging the serpent's attacks and delivering powerful blows with his sword. He could feel Crom's strength coursing through him, empowering him with unwavering resolve.

The battle raged on for hours, with Tharn and the serpent locked in a deadly duel. Blood and sweat poured from Tharn's body as he fought with every ounce of his strength. He refused to yield, for he knew that Crom demanded nothing less than his best.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Tharn dealt a final, devastating blow to the serpent, piercing its heart with his sword. The creature let out a mighty roar before collapsing, defeated. Tharn stood victorious, covered in the blood of his fallen foe.

As he knelt down to offer thanks to Crom, he felt a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction that he had never experienced before. He had faced a true test of his skills and proved himself worthy of Crom's favor. Tharn returned to the village as a hero, and his name spread far and wide as a legendary warrior who had vanquished the mighty serpent.

From that day on, Tharn continued to live by Crom's code, always seeking to challenge himself and test his skills in battle. He became a revered figure in Cimmeria, known as the Champion of Crom, and his tales were passed down through generations as a testament to the power of unwavering faith, indomitable spirit, and the might of Crom, the god of steel.

And so, Tharn's legend grew, and his devotion to Crom remained steadfast until the end of his days, inspiring others to follow in his footsteps and embrace the unforgiving path of the Cimmerian warrior, guided by the strength and wisdom of Crom, the god of steel

A STORY OF CROM

Long ago, in the age of the gods, before the rise of men and civilizations, there was a powerful god named Crom. Crom was known as the god of steel, the deity of craftsmanship, and the lord of the forge.

Crom was a solitary and stoic god, dwelling in his great forge atop a towering mountain peak. His domain was a place of fire and smoke, where molten metal flowed like rivers and hammers rang with a deafening clamor. It was said that Crom's forge was where the first weapons and tools were forged, and from there, all the steel in the world originated.

Crom was a master blacksmith, creating weapons of unimaginable power and durability. His craftsmanship was unmatched, and his creations were said to be imbued with the very essence of steel itself. His weapons were wielded by the mightiest of gods, and they were revered by all for their unparalleled strength and sharpness.

Despite his formidable power, Crom was known for his strict and uncompromising nature. He was a god of few words, rarely speaking to his followers or intervening in the affairs of mortals. He demanded hard work, perseverance, and dedication from those who sought his favor, and only the strongest and most worthy were said to be able to earn his blessing.

Legends of Crom's prowess as a blacksmith and warrior spread far and wide. Mortals who sought to wield the power of Crom's weapons would often embark on treacherous quests to reach his forge, braving perilous mountains, scorching deserts, and dark dungeons in their quest to gain his favor.

Those who were deemed worthy by Crom would be tested in the fires of his forge, enduring grueling trials and challenges to prove their mettle. Only the most steadfast and determined would emerge victorious, earning the right to wield one of Crom's legendary weapons.

It was said that those who possessed Crom's weapons were imbued with great strength, courage, and resilience. They became renowned warriors, feared and respected by all, and their deeds echoed through the ages.

However, Crom was not a god who bestowed his favor lightly. Many who sought his blessings would fail, succumbing to the hardships and challenges of the journey or falling short of his exacting standards. Those who failed were said to be cast aside by Crom, left to wander the wilderness or perish in their quest.

But for those who succeeded, Crom's blessings were said to be everlasting. They would wield his weapons with unmatched skill and power, becoming legendary heroes and champions of his cause. They would be forever known as Crom's chosen, the ones who had earned the favor of the god of steel.

And so, the legend of Crom lived on, inspiring warriors and craftsmen alike with tales of his unmatched skill as a blacksmith, his unwavering resolve, and his uncompromising nature. His forge burned bright with the fires of creation, shaping the destiny of those who sought his favor, and his weapons became the stuff of myth and legend, revered by all who heard their tales
