A cat. In a box. In a box. In a box. In a house. Dreaming of hunting.

The deflation is the yield.

What a great time to be alive. I woke up this morning and finished vac sealing the last of the veggies from the garden. Ran up to the pit to crack off a few freehand shots with the rifle in preparation for the first couple of deer camps coming up. And now I’m strafing a Star Destroyer in VR on PS4 with a metal playlist in the background on a totally different app. After slogging through all of the garden work yesterday it’s so nice to have a day to live before the fiat mine runaround Monday.

Yes I thought I recalled that post a while back. I hope you’re through the worst of it man

I haven’t done centralized social media in many years because it was painfully obvious that I was the product, and the privacy concerns I had turned out to be even worse than I imagined. Not to mention the anxiety and conflict driven algorithms that they all employ. All I wanted was a place where I could learn from and interact with the best minds in Bitcoin, preparedness, permaculture and philosophy, and stay up to date on the security, regulatory and technology aspects of BTC. Nostr is it.

The last of the peppers for the year, bound for the freezer. This is about half of the yield from 10 eighteen inch tall plants. I learned a lot about peppers this year and could have easily tripled the yield if I didn’t cram them all into such a small space. All 10 plants only occupied a 2’x3’ half of a 2’x6’ bed. Not enough light was reaching the rearmost plants of course. But the stalks and root masses were huge.

I try to point out to people that there’s a difference between a country’s economic system and its monetary system. People often conflate the apparent ill effects of one to the other.

Sometimes a good comment is “I used to think so too until I learned that the biggest problem is our monetary system and the way we issue currency, not our economic system.” Someone with that opinion hasn’t even gotten their big toe wet on the topic of what money is and how it’s issued. Thats when you reach back to your stack of copies of nostr:npub1a2cww4kn9wqte4ry70vyfwqyqvpswksna27rtxd8vty6c74era8sdcw83a ‘s book in your shelf and cuff them gently upside the head with it.

Thanks I will check this out! I’m piling through books faster than I can find them thanks to Natural Reader and pdfdrive this year.

One of the highlights of my interest in engineering and space exploration was following the JWST closely for about 12 years, and finally seeing the incredibly complex launch, orbit attainment and commissioning process succeed. I think these people have some of the best jobs on earth.

All things I could have been doing in the afternoons this week if 50 wasn’t the new 40hr workweek. I’m so glad I’m leveraging technology and getting so much more done at work in a week. It’s having such a huge impact on my free time.
