What I Know
A while ago I boiled everything I know, have read, and believe down into four statements about how to have a fulfilling life:
1. Know that the Universe has a plan for your life.
2. Choose a noble purpose for your life and pursue it wholeheartedly. It will not find you. Go get it.
3. Do hard things.
4. In the pursuit of your goal, resolve yourself on death. The way of the warrior is death.
5. Stack Sats. 🧡₿
Good to see you on Nostr!
You can teach people about currency debasement. But you can’t make them care. The only thing that does that is economic pain.
Sounds like the beginning of a Resident Evil game.
Great interview
Hope you smoke a big grain fed stud Whitetail 🤙🏽
Hands down the best UX of any exchange I have used.
It’s awesome. Just got all set up last night. Tonight I’ll get it on the nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll
The kids named him so I can’t be blamed for giving him the most generic orange cat name lol. It’s Cheeto. They named him after poison junk food. Doesn’t really fit into the carnivore theme haha.
Welcome to the party 🤙🏽
I finally got around to messing around with nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm Hub last night and all I have to say is wow! Alby is really onto something here.
Alby Hub bridges the gap between the headache and the risk calculation of managing channels and onboard sats on self hosted LN node hardware, and the freedom of having multiple lightning channels that just. work. Especially in the event that you are managing larger amounts of liquidity, have a catastrophic failure or theft of your hardware.
As long as you’re logging out your hub after each use, have a strong password, and back up your keys on steel, you can really start to use self managed lightning without losing sleep or having a backup server on hand.
While it is good to know how to run a lightning node and manage channels on your own hardware, the hosted solution is really something you can use to onboard friends and family with their own wallets, without having the whole thing at risk sitting on a single server.
Between the huge number of ways you can connect to your hub with other apps and websites, and the beautifully simple functionality of the Alby Go mobile app, this service is going to drive lightning and Bitcoin adoption forward in a big way.
I am interested to see how it holds up to some battle testing and the ever changing regulatory environment. But Alby Hub is well worth getting versed in. Good job Alby team. This is exciting!
