I swear I’m the only freedom tech minded person in the immediate area we live sometimes. I know three hours away there’s regular meetups. Hoping to get to one soon.

I haven’t had much luck inspiring interest in our town except for one guy at work that is in quite a busy time of life, having two toddlers.

For now, Nostr is like a life raft for my brain. And I love that people here can take a GFY and not get all butt hurt lol. The world is missing this honesty right now.

Omg that was painless. I was guided through the whole process just following the links that popped up automatically when I attempted a local connection to my Start9. Now I just have to figure out how to best utilize a Tor connection to the server when I am on the road.

For sure. I will let you know how the process goes. The main thing I have to research tomorrow is how to import a root certificate from the command line since there’s no centralized registry or the tools I’m used to. It’s foreign territory.

What a trash fiat OS. No access without a Microsoft account, default privacy settings set for maximum tracking, browsers and home screens plastered with fiat news and social media bait, and endless attempts at selling the user various subscriptions for services and utilities.

If I was a dev at MS I’d jump off the roof headfirst.

The crazy thing is that I bet the average user will just accept this crap.
