Lightning doesn't work very well when it comes to new users buying some Bitcoin. I suppose it's unfair to expect L2 solutions to be able to circumnavigate the need for a user to have a utxo on the chain to be anchored to but it brings up some basic truths about how accumulating Bitcoin just fundamentally requires on chain activity unless you happen to have some inbound capacity from previous spends.

The finance types will always have a cheaper product for the poors to use, one that leverages the loss of hard money qualities in favor of increased liquidity. That's what poor people care about, having a number in their bank account, they don't care about the circumstances of currency type regarding their account or total.
