Now that we're closing in on the end of the year, raise your hand if you're going to BTC'25 in Las Vegas. 🙋🏽‍♂️

I wanna know which plebs to meet up with at the Nostr meetups and also the after parties.

A lot of this that he states is fearmongering (stuff that can be theoretically disabled in settings) or functionality that he mentions that is already surpassed by three letter agencies for things such as tracking. If you're looking for something that is certainly secure and private, don't look at iOS or Android, but either aren't terrible for "most" people.

If you can get by without mainstream apps, that's great, but we don't expect people to suddenly go cold turkey from them or to ever fully avoid using them.

Nothing wrong with sandboxed Google Play in the main user, but Private Space is a nice feature.

Awesome, I’ll look into that. Ultimately, I’m looking at using it as a semi-private phone. Just something more secure and private than standard Android.

I got the icon, now I'm having node issues with getAlby to send you a ⚡️zap⚡️ through Damus lol. (Zap sent via Primal)

nostr:npub1235tem4hfn34edqh8hxfja9amty73998f0eagnuu4zm423s9e8ksdg0ht5, I’ve got a newly minted Graphene OS loaded phone. What are some best newbie steps to take to fully enjoying the phone setup?

That’s cool. I don’t think I’m the intended audience though as I run my own node.

nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s (or anyone else), is there a reason why my app doesn’t show a method to ⚡️zap⚡️ using my connected Alby wallet in Damus? For some reason I don’t see the little icon to do so.

Oh, I mean, of course. Exactly the same way that I don’t know how to read legal jargon. I will say though that I feel even more people WILL understand source code compared to the 90s or even the 2000s/10s.

As far as no editing on NOSTR, I think it goes back to how nostr:npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6 made the MVP. Wasn’t important back then. Personally, I like it (or maybe I do due to Stockholm syndrome).

Yeah, I know. Very sad. What peasants for being under the rule of a techno-king which they never appointed. Come to NOSTR, creators, come…

I STILL haven’t gotten that bs. No need for it unless I want attention on a dying platform.
