you could join the nostr dev fray now!
wanting to master all three is ambitious but I think it makes more sense to be really really good at one or two. each person has their strengths which are shaped by their personality, natural talents and experience. play into that and work with others that complement you.
YES PLEASE.
those people are nuts for running around like that 😱
or you can pitch in and help? sounds like they need a QA engineer to help test out their work.
people who make software do one of these things well and the other two so-so.
implement a great uxui
make the program do what it's supposed to do
code effectively and efficiently
it takes a team of developers and supporting staff to cover each other's weaknesses and to push out what we, users, consider to be "usable" software fulfilling all three.
in the nostrverse, developers work on their own or very small teams (often with other developers who are similar to themselves) They are doing great work in an emerging space but they can't do everything by themselves.
today is the 15th day of the Lunar New Year which is mostly known for the lantern festival, which is nice family gathering enjoying savory Tang Yuans (湯圓) and lantern decorations are seen in many spots. However in the south of Taiwan (Tainan) there is a peculiar tradition called the Yanshui Beehive Festival (鹽水蜂炮) that happens on this day.

On the day of the lantern festival, people gather around a bunch of fireworks that shoot outward into the crowd. Get hit by a firework and you have good luck for the year. It's crazy and super dangerous
This is a tradition brought over to Taiwan in the 19th century by Ming Rebels/Pirates as a loyalty test and rite-of-passage, somehow this tradition became one of "hey, if i get hit by a lot of fireworks at the start of the year, i'll have good luck!".
Taiwanese are weird sometimes 🤣
yes, I agree.
yeast donuts I eat all of it in one go whereas cake donuts I kinda eat a bite at a time over a period of time.
using an algorithm-less social media means that the only person responsible for how I spend my time is me.
In the absence of algo-driven trickery and funny business, it becomes clear that I am the problem with my mindless scrolling and time wasting.
Back to work now.
be safe! hope you heal quickly 💪
write long form articles that interest people and get zapped for good content. habla is a good long form client
and/or
use something like creatr to gate your content behind subscriptions.
basically, do your work and have a place to make it public for others to evaluate if it's worth their time and money.
Hey Pablo, you're a cool dude. H.A.G.S.

The Netflix live action of Avatar the Last Airbender came out yesterday. my thoughts on the first episode...
The characters from the different nations look distinctly different while still maintaining cohesion. I think they did great on casting, especially Sokka. Every scene he's in is charming and funny. very Sokka.
The pacing and order is different from the original series but totally understandable why they showed things chronologically instead following the order of the original.
Hubs says the green screen work is noticeable. I don't notice it at all. He's somewhat of a wizard when it comes to stuff like that. With that said though, the sets and visuals do a great job of making the cartoon settings look like a real world.
"The words" of the opening make an appearance in the first episode. This homage moment doesn't feel shoehorned and was a little unexpected. I didn't think they'd include it but they did in a way that worked. With that said, I'm looking forward to "MY CABBAGES!!!"
I'm glad I don't remember much of the series on detail since I last watched it years ago. It feels fresh and exciting.
I'd like one trained on crochet stitches and be able to generate patterns that actually make sense.
I appreciate you not going for the trite "why not"
