Why wouldn't you drive?
I've been thinking of a catchy name for this for days and I couldn't think of anything great. But I think this is the one.
Bypass of datacarriersize limit using OP_FALSE,OP_IF
Ramifications are that datacarriersize, an important node policy parameter, is bypassable. I.e. a bug that makes an option in core not behave as intended.
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Common_Vulnerabilities_and_Exposures#CVE-2023-50428
Is being bypassable is not intended? What does the fix entail? Is there a PR?

Satoshi solved the spam problem with proof of work.
Also, if my response sounds like rambling, I've had a few beers. Please excuse my brevity. Thanks for hearing me out at least. Look forward to more discussion. Cheers mate 🍻
As a miner, I don't care about the subjective feeling as it pertains to transactions in the blocks I solve. I want the most fees. That's it. I'm not motivated by anything but subsidy+fee. As it should be. My personal feelings is ordinals aren't worth the time they take to create. My personal feelings is that they're worthless. My personal feelings is that if the transactions follow consensus of core nodes, then it's a valid transaction. Spam or not, that is subjective. If they are indeed worthless, they will run out of money to make them as they're not producing anything of value. I don't think they are, so I think they will run out of money. Whether or not their transactions are "spam" is subjective and is up to the market to decide the market is welcome to be wrong or course. BTC still valued at a measly 40k when it's worth 10m for instance. Time will tell but I think I'm right.

I also just disagree. Mining is decentralized sufficiently. There will always be 1-2 big pools.

Can I ask for clarification for what Core is vulnerable to? What are the ramifications for never fixing this vulnerability?
I used PHP to build an API but it's a very robust language capable of much more.
It would have been nearly the same fee for a very large amount and it would confirm in about a minute. It's not for micropayments but I'd pay 255 sat fee on my coffee purchase. 🤷🏻
