Initial feedback from today is just to continue working on quality of life stuff, making it bulletproof e.g. Side scroll of columns breaks layout. Search occasionally fails. App crashes intermittently. Created new user then clicked profile and it generated an error. Lmk if you need more info on these. MtGox distribution explains the price suppression over the last month.
Price suppression? Each day 10* more coins are being bought than mined. Price should rise to accommodate but hasn't. It's possible to depress price with derivs, but who and why?
You're on Wall Street trying to get coins for your clients, your boiler room is calling all OG coiners. You're aware the identity of MtGox creditors and that MtGox distribution is coming, you arrange to buy from MtGox OGs once distribution is made at the market price at the time.
You're incentivised to keep that price as low as possible so that your clients get set at the best price.
And so, I guess 1) Those MtGox coins that would be sold are already bought. 2) once those sales complete there is no further need to depress price, and we enter a new price discovery phase.

Agree lightning not possible because the "money" is in the node (assuming that node is not the mesh device), and also the tx itself is too large. Ecash may work because the "money" is the token itself. Callbacks to the mint are required but maybe the mint can be mesh connected, or maybe the callback can be async.

Hi! I'd like to understand your comment further. Do you speak from experience? I have met a few people who have sent ecash tokens successfully (copy paste into Meshtastic client), and it seems possible to Meshtastic client APIs to make a dedicated client for that kind of message. Or, use Reticulum instead. Early stages and keen to learn.

I have tested sending #cashu over #meshtastic. the package size is limited to 237 bytes / characters. So the token needs to be split up and merged again later, which is no fun when done manually 👀⚡📡
