Fantastic to read! I will buy your book and read it one day, maybe not take your advice on stop reading books? Great to have you here on nostr!

Added ability to create a new Nostr account on Blockcore Notes, it's quick and smooth. Try it out at https://notes.blockcore.net

Thanks for that… yet another NIP to implement. I have not even added tagging yet, because you crazy people want more feature. I’ll try to get this added to Blockcore Notes very quickly.

About time then =)

Fully open source, started on it right before New Years. Got a fair amount of features added already, quality should be considered "prototype".

Received my first zap last night! Thanks ❤️

Have not had time to read up on the zapping specification yet, but I'll at least add ability to see the zaps on Blockcore Notes when I get around to it. Got lots of other features to be added and the first one that is coming very soon, is article support, making Notes an awesome articles editor.

Appreciate all the support and keep feedback coming. Notes will only get better if your ideas is shared.

When you're done for the night and just want to listen to some music before bed... that's when the saved notes collection comes in handy in Blockcore Notes:

Does it make sense to allow users to use the "d" identifiers as friendly URLs to articles? So you could have "a/pubkey/my-favorite-food".

Then if I host my own article/blog site, I could configure the pubkey as some default value and posts could be available at /my-favorite-food.

I'll do that, derive the identifier from title and allow user to edit it.

I built a basic markdown blog-script that works a GitHub template repo a while back, I was considering adopting it to Nostr and have it retrieve the posts from Nostr, but when I think about it, the GitHub Actions workflow that generates HTML from markdown, should also just download the events and embed into the HTML that is pushed to the server. Users are accessing my (or anyones) posts through a specific domain name anyway.

For a more generic blogging platform for multiple users, this won't work and you need more dynamic loading. Nice blog post!

Yes, tags management is done, it’s just missing tagging the saved posts itself.

Then you’ll be able to filter on tags, e.g. “Music” and then “Queue in Media Player”.

Did you know that Blockcore Notes allows you to see all the locally cached profiles? This is a good way to find new and interesting profiles, as these are all profiles that others are following or have participated in threads you have looked at.

Here is how you can access the cached profiles and how you can display them in different formats, different icon sizes or full details.

So many great people, yet I need more to follow. Please drop your suggestions below! ❤️

Same, followed 😀

How about having both Block and Mute?

If someone is muted, their posts can be hidden from following feeds and perhaps even from threads, but you might still want to follow them and have their profile easily accessible.

Added a new settings that allows you to turn off reactions on Blockcore Notes. This will save some bandwidth as the reactions will no longer be downloaded on threads.

You will still be able to give reactions to notes and reactions that happens towards you, will still be shown in the Notifications.

Hopefully this will allow you to focus even more on the amazing quality content on Nostr.
