Why the difference between this and what is shown at usdebtclock.org?
Developers, please support #Tails (tails.net) when possible. AppImages are clickable once execute permissions are set, and deb files can be installed per boot with sudo dpkg -i for-example-sparrow-wallet.deb
Thank you for taking the time to reply. I had a feeling it was a bad idea, but was not sure; thus the compulsion to ask. Appreciate you ๐
Could a softfork to 4mb blocks allow the removal of the witness discount? I apologize in advance if this is a dumb idea/question ๐
Can anyone explain why usdebtclock.org only indicates about 809 billion?
I appreciate the FOSS and degoogled aspects of f-droid. I am trying to use FOSS as much as possible. When a project is unable to provide an f-droid version or decides to create a separate version, it prompts me to ask why. While still centralized, I feel f-droid is a huge step towards a more free future from the google playstore.
I very much appreciate your Amethyst software. Thank you! It's what I use on my graphene pixel. You've let me know that it's the translations in Amethyst that cannot currently be FOSS, and that that is why there is a separate f-droid version without those translations. I wish that those translations could somehow be FOSS in the future.
Thank you for all you do!
I try to keep an open mind about this. Even in the bitcoin monetary future I hope for, I believe there will be a need/use for investment securities. A permissioned, federated bitcoin sidechain like liquid offers a way to hold and exchange them as bearer assets.
Thank you for this information! I will look into it further ๐

Could there be decentralized mining pool software that any miner could choose to run without the need to interact with or rely upon a central party? Some sort of p2p mining pool software?
Thank you for the explanation ๐
I just saw in your release notes that the fdroid version does not have translations. Is there something about translations that prevents them from being foss? It would be nice to avoid the confusion of different versions.
For faster updates, install Amethyst (and all other Nostr clients) through Obtainium instead of Google's PlayStore.
Obtainium updates directly from our GitHub repository, instead of relying on any centralized review process by stores.

Thank you for your very nice nostr client. On github, what is the difference between the fdroid and googleplay apks?
You can download the latest version from github as well. Fdroid doesn't always have the most updated versions of apps. Here's the link https://github.com/Blockstream/green_android/releases/tag/release_4.0.27
Thank you very much for pointing this out to me! I don't know how I overlooked the apk on github. And it looks like the file to gpg verify is there too. Perfect! I'm busy for the next week, but after that will try this out to see if it fixes that error I was getting. I'm thinking it will. Thanks again ๐
Does anyone know if you can integrate nostr:npub1mutnyacc9uc4t5mmxvpprwsauj5p2qxq95v4a9j0jxl8wnkfvuyque23vg into nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 on an iPhone so I can zap notes directly on mobile? I have the wallet setup and I have it linked to Damus but it looks like I still can't zap notes. It's not connecting with nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg and I think they require you to use their wallet which I'm not a fan of.

I believe ecash for zaps will be the way; lightning to add to or withdraw from ecash balance as needed ๐
if you're a dopamine junkie like me DIY is rather irresistible. i also build speakers from time to time. in fact my website was originally supposed to be about DIY speaker building.
https://dissidentsound.discoursehosting.net/latest
but what i learned in building speakers was the same as what i learned in building computers - that most DIYers are completely delusional and believe that the outcome is a function of quality of parts used not level of knowledge used in design.
i had an idiot tell me that he can design a subwoofer as well as JBL ( basically a Dell equivalent to speakers ) because he has a shitty free program that simulates bass response. this would be like saying i can design a computer as well as Dell because i watch Gamers Nexus. but idiots actually believe this.
yes you can design a computer that works better than Dell does. but you will spend TWICE as much money on parts as Dell does, and then you will simply not count the cost of Windows as well as not count the cost of your own time to make it seem like you won in the end. you will also overlook minor problems in the final result that you would not have overlooked in a store bought PC / speaker.
this is a known psychological effect - we value things we have created higher than they really are worth. this is why DIY is a thing. it's not about sticking it to the man. it's about Dunning Kruger.
this is why i have really shifted from DIY to Analysis. instead of building flawed things i teach others how not to.
LOL
Thanks for sharing. I am minimalist/mobile by nature, so very rarely take the DIY route. But definitely appreciate good engineering and quality. That's what drew me to apple; especially the years under Jobs. But the world today seems to demand a lower trust model, especially at big corporate/government/mass media levels. But I cherish more local/individual levels of trust.
I agree, and am not opposed to a cost. Open source is what is most important to me. I view free more as freedom to modify and use as desired. I appreciate quality hardware that utilizes open source software.

I'm having trouble with the F-Droid version of the Green wallet in combination with Jade on #GrapheneOS. I suspect it may be because that version of Green has not been updated since December 10. Please don't require the use of Google play store on android.
