Was actually searching for a GIF of Joey trying to stop the cops from taking his computer but didn't find one. 🌚

Haven't been this productive and motivated in weeks. 😌

OpenStreetMap now offers Vector Tiles. The difference in performance is actually night and day.

The normalization wireless biometric ID continues:

> Following the approval of the IEEE 802.11bf specification in 2020, the Wi-Fi Alliance began promoting Wi-Fi Sensing, positioning Wi-Fi as something more than a data transit mechanism.

Interesting how everything converged between 2019-2021.

> "The encouraging results achieved confirm the viability of Wi-Fi signals as a robust and privacy-preserving biometric modality, and position this study as a meaningful step forward in the development of signal-based Re-ID systems," the authors say.

Can't wait for Zelensky and his friends to get the Gaddafi treatment from angry Ukrainians.

Only that Zelensky will actually deserve everything that’s coming for him.

Most requests are suffciently and quickly served from their internal pre-trained model but if you need anything more recent (post-training data) you’ll have to fan out a search (from X’ firehose of posts for example or more just more recent data from external sources). The latter is computationally more expensive and will definitely take longer to produce an answer.

Pretty sure they’ll monetize those features (if they aren’t already).

For example: I provided instructions for the installation and configuration of the nginx-gateway-fabric helm chart and it didn’t understand that flux (CI) needed a special oci repo type. I provided an example from the docs and it just worked it out on its own. It did the entire ā€œside by sideā€ configuration to prevent conflicts with nginx-ingress by itself.

As long you know what you’re doing, it’s like having a few junior engineers at your disposal that just need some oversight and code review here an there.

Could I have done all this by myself? Sure. But it would’ve taken longer to write down all the YAML by hand, grasp all dependencies in my repos and hunt down the right Github Actions snippets by myself. Instead, I read about a quarter of a (albeit short) book while enjoying coffee in the sun.

Spent hours iterating over a skeleton repo for my new blog.

Built a Github Actions > Docker Container > Helm Chart > Kubernetes Deployment pipeline for the new blog and website.

Completely refactored my infrastructure monorepo.

Upgraded all helm chart versions, migrated a test app from nginx-ingress to nginx-gateway (the new ā€œbetter ingress APIā€ for Kubernetes), all containers now run unprivileged.

Finalized texts, translations, structure and visuals of the company website I’ll launch soon.

I haven’t even used up the 5USD bonus I got for paying 10USD.

You have to help it out sometimes, you have to be clear in your instructions but once you’ve got the hang of it, it feels like you have your own JARVIS.

People trashing nostr on X is almost as moronic as people having backup accounts on commercial platforms out of fear of getting their primary nuked.

One of my favorite Ozzy albums is The Ultimate Sin and that thing is older than me.

Gonna play some of my favorite Ozzy songs now.

why is helm such garbage.

I’ve been wanting to launch a new blog for so long and I’ve drafted so much stuff that’s about 90-95% finished but I never made time to work out a nice hugo theme and I never liked the existing ones.

With Citrine and 15USD of prepaid Moonshot AI’s K2 I used up 2,5USD(!) for a fully customized, easily extendable, nicely designed Hugo theme + helm chart + flux gitops deployment. 90% was basically just vibed into existence.

Now I’ll just have to spent a few hours on polishing up those drafts, bring them in shape, dump them into the repo and start working on making it good enough to publish the blog.

Published with my nsec and signed locally this time and it worked. Will check out the docs regarding bunker + nak next time.

best of:

> ā€œi'm queer and all but when my boyfriend sticks his tongue in another guy’s mouth before kissing me first, that’s a no goā€

> ā€œit’s an open relationship for sure but it’s not my fault I change the definition of open on a whimā€

> ā€œif i don’t now what he’s up to all weekend he might just as well be dead and I’ll look for another partnerā€

Went on like that for half an hour until I noticed I had spare in-ears in my backpack.

Involuntarily listening in on some Gen Z girls talking about dating.

Never stick your dick in this kind of crazy.

In the early 2000s I made some ASCII art for release groups but I've never seen quality such as this: https://16colo.rs/pack/fire-42/TNT-TACO.ANS

This but nostr native. Should be possible?

Cleaned up a lot of ancient Telegram messages with people I’m no longer aligned with at all. Feels good to purge all this history.

Spent an hour in a cafĆ© in the sun to read the docs of Kubernetes’ Gateway API changes and nginx gateway fabric on my nostr:npub1a00wj229auzjswlq4s77y4u8eqdx5k9ppatgl8rtv8va65f6mwksum9q3h DC-1. Love this device and the Kubernetes ecosystem.

Clear and high quality docs are so important.

I pushed a new release for Linkahest and moved the source code (including release assets) to Github. If you previously added it to Obtianium using the old Codeberg repo, please search for linkahest in Obtianium or add the following URL: https://github.com/circumspace/linkahest

Zapstore update will follow later today. No new features, just some dependency updates and the updated source repo is now linked in settings.

I see some parallels to Jungian shadow work though your approach has some elements of self flagellation. If you don't know Jung, check it out. Might be more effective in the long run.

Gave a friend in need a decent used laptop and 18 months later it’s already broken and doesn’t charge anymore. Meanwhile my laptop it closing in on its 3rd year and it looks almost pristine except for some color wear-off on the aluminum edges.

I just don’t get people sometimes. Accidents happen but the last time I visited him it already looked like it was being handled as if it was a Panasonic Toughbook.

Sigh. I should stop trying to help people out. Can’t save everyone.
