Interesting. Read some reviews and they all mentioned the low res e-ink. Daylight Computer is already close to being to low DPI for me.
Creating Kubernetes clusters with talos feels kinda magical.
All good, I've been doing fine for quite some time. It's just a shame that my preferred biorhythm is so incompatible with my actual circadian rhythm. 🫠
Because the West is headed for a calculated collapse and they need a totalitarian control system in place once that happens.
Doing focus work during the day feels more and more like a chore.
Unfortunately I already lived about 6 months of working through the night more than 10 years ago and it lead to a depression I barely got out of.

Just checking…🫣
A rare video shows Erdogan receiving the "Medal of Jewish Bravery," remaining the only Muslim to be awarded this honor.

They're all Dönnmeh aka crypto jews.
I feel like I really must've missed something. What happened in countries of the European Union w/r/t Israel over the last weeks?
Just a few months ago Ursula was talking about the Talmud being the core of European values, German government buildings hoisted the Israeli flag, there was talk of ignoring ICC rulings should Israel government officials cross the border to various European nations that should adhere to ICC judgment.
WTF is going on? Is it because they know that it's too late for Palestine anyways? That it's all going to get bulldozed and sold for pennies on the dollar and that Greater Israel is already a done deal?
4k on 32" is sharp enough for me and I think the dongle on my Macbook Air wouldn't be able to drive 6k at 60hz.
My HP monitor just looks so ugly in comparison but it's not even 2 years old, iirc.
I'll keep on stacking sats instead of indulging myself in materialist stuff.
Fuck am I glad I don't have that many sats to spend on a monitor:
Retail prices for network patch cables are insane.
Some stuff I'll have to read into, thanks!
Modern art must be labeled in order to not be thrown into the trash.
Because you don't have to anymore?
Today I spent about 3400sats on a wallpaper. Well, a wallpaper bundle.
Ever since I watched the introduction of macOS Tiger back in the day, I've loved that blue default wallpaper. I looked around a few years ago and never found a version that worked on modern displays. Upscaled versions are easy to find. Some examples are these 5k and 6k versions: ![]()

It works as long as you don't look closely. (I hope this doesn't break anyones timelimes.)
Then there are the versions that were completely redone by BasicAppleGuy but they just don't capture the energy of the original one: https://basicappleguy.com/basicappleblog/macos-tiger
There's this designer named Hector Simpson who has outdone himself on his recreation: P3 colorspace, 6k resolution, dynamic color variations, pixel perfect lines *and* phone & tablet versions. It just looks perfect. If it had cost anything above 5000k sats I would've skipped this but this is definitely worth a good cup of a triple shot Americano:

How would you even have done this before AI? Is it just a matter of confidence and gaslighting?
Assume you're required to work with some infrastructure as code tool that uses a syntax you're unfamiliar with and you're tasked with working on a staging system that's part of everyday deployment and testing processes. Would you just wing it and hope for the best? What if you had to pair with someone? What if someone asked you a question about it? Just bullshit your way through?
I couldn't live with myself.
I've done some consulting work on the side since 2016 but never would I have thought to completely invent a skillset just to get the job. If it was like a small thing they'd require and if I was confident I could level up within 2-3 days, I would've considered it. But trying to land a job at a company that uses tooling you're completely unfamiliar with while also claiming to have a couple of years of experience with that tooling?
It's okay to learn on the job, you can't know everything and I know most companies don't really know what they need but this feels too fraudulent and yet it seems to be a common practice I must have missed in almost a decade.
Reminds me of when I was still vegan. People tend to have some weird head canon at play, no matter the topic.
I mentioned I cooked some delicious food but because they knew I was vegan they started babbling on about how they had meat today even though they usually don't eat that much meat. I don't now if it's just some automatic response when they don't have anything of interest to speak of.
The issue is with them, not you/us.
She's back to like 95%. She has some very minor weakness in one of her legs at the back but there's 0 indication of pain or lasting damage. I'm so glad.
I released a new version of my Linkahest app just now. The README has also been shown some love and is much cleaner now:
https://github.com/circumspace/linkahest
Say hello to version 0.3.0:
- Set twiiit.com as default Nitter instance (lowest latency proxy)
- Added new Invidious instances: yewtu.be, invidious.nerdvpn.de
- Added new Redlib instances: redlib.tux.pizza, redlib.ducks.party, and more
- Bumped version to 0.3.0
Github Release: https://github.com/circumspace/linkahest/releases/tag/0.3.0
If you installed via Obtainium you’ll see the new version next time you update your apps.
If you installed via Zapstore, I just pushed the updated apk.
Let me know if you encounter any issues.

I read (but never verified) that it was added to the drinking water of political prisoners by the Nazis *and* Communists because it made them more docile. Based on the amount of “fact checks” you encounter upon trying to research it, it’s at least likely to be true.
From a spiritual perspective it allegedly calcifies your Pineal Gland, thus disrupting/weakening your spiritual connection to whatever metaphysical something you believe to be connected to your meatsuit. Difficult to verify without opening up any skulls. :)
None of what he's claiming is true once you realize who has been funding Hamas for decades. It's all part of the Zionist strategy.
> I'm a senior software engineer who doesn't know how to prompt or vibe code, this AI thing is a scam
Nah, you'll be stamped a contrarian at best, a gullible conspiracy nutjob at worst and you'll not convince anyone.
Let people enjoy their CGI. The sharade will end at some point.
There are more important battles to be fought, imho.
(Not mocking anyone mentioned here. I can be just as wrong as anyone else.)
Sigh, it seems that MinIO exceeded the tolerable amount of bullshit for open core projects as well:
My first thought: It's the Oumuamua dudes again, right?
Of course it is.
4500 sats for a big Americano.
Guess my favorite café doesn't want customers anymore.
First Ozzy, now Hogan.
My old heroes keep on dying.
RIP

I’m on a maxxed out M2 with 24GB RAM right now. Never let me down in almost 2 1/2 years and I prefer to it the M4 MBP I had at my last employer. Doing local devops/software engineering/local LLM stuff on it. Some containers, VMs, minor graphical touchups.
Paid ~2200EUR for it with AppleCare. You can get a used one (starting at 512GB storage) for 1000EUR now. M3 really isn’t worth it. The M4 are quite powerful (+2 efficiency/performance cores) and you get proper Thunderbolt 4 support to run more than 1 external display.
I haven't read into Pass Keys at all since they launched.
Are you using them?
The way all the big players are pushing for them has me sceptical.
But it might just save them from having to deal with thousands daily account compromises so maybe they aren’t bad and I shouldn’t infer malicious intent by association.
