it tastes the same but a bit stronger and more flavorful like most things you grow on your own. The stalks get about as thick as a drinking straw and i have used the leaves similar to how i would use herbs - im growing more this year then in the past.
i have grown the last few years they did not make good stalk celery but have very good flavor added anywhere you would use celery or herbs.
i will give this a try is there a best time to pick them?
