completely disagree. I love this one, very clean and modern, plus has hints of relays communicating with each other
nsecs belong on steel 😤🪨
I disagree with this take. As a developer, UX is your responsibility, core part of the job description.
Embrace the good the Ordinals has brought to bitcoon 🙏.
Yelling "Ordinals bad" doesnt help move the space forward. let's acknowledge what they do right. And in the case of gamma, it's clear they have a top-of-the-line UX for bitcoin apps
Keep that energy when you're talking about ordinals.com
1. Calling everything inscribed “ugly” is subjective and irrelevant as to whether or not they are scammers
2. You can say that they are spam, but the intention of the inscribers is to attach provenance to their art. You may think that is dumb, but at least understand their intent.
3. You are the one calling them scammers so the burden of proof is on you. I agree that anyone making bs promises about “utility” or shitcoins going up in value are acting maliciously and can be considered a scammer. But if someone is just selling a jpeg to a willing buyer I see absolutely nothing wrong with that. Who are you or I to tell someone what they can or cannot purchase? Bitcoin is freedom money, and it’s nobody business outside of those who are part of the transaction. Sure it may be pure speculation, but who gives a fuck, let them speculate, it’s a free country. Pura vida 🤙
(I really just hate seeing people shitting on each other when we should be all on the same team 🥹)
Calling everyone in ordinals “Scammers” is just like when E. Warren calls eEverton Bitcoin “Criminals”. It makes you look silly. There is pplenty of valid criticisms for certain individuals in the space, but calling them all scammers just trying to collect jpegs is stupid and trivializes your point
People are trying to DDos ordinals.com. Fair game, but they'll be back soon enough. I wish we could all just be friends 🥲
People are entitled to spend their coins however they see fit. Bitcoin is freedom money

Not my relay not my problem. This is an issue that other decentralized social networks are prone to (I.e. Farcaster requires consensus among nodes). but on Nostr, relays can decide what content they host and what they ignore
So #Nostr has a stench problem and nostr:npub137lghaz3q3850343kupy2mx67r03qf6ccjvnpyjual6mkw436xlq3hkxgf has a hygiene company 🤔. I think we can put our differences aside and make a deal 🧙🧼🚿

I agree with this a lot.
There are particular properties that nostr confers that other way of creating apps do not.
What these properties enable is what should be the value prop’s focus when describing nostr apps to new users.
You can’t get away from describing nostr to do that, but, like nostr:npub1wmr34t36fy03m8hvgl96zl3znndyzyaqhwmwdtshwmtkg03fetaqhjg240 said, the nostr dot com approach is not good either and each app/use-case needs to figure out how to describe what’s relevant/special on its own.
We need to make nostr dot com into an epic ThreeJS landing page like all the cool kids 😎
New episode: How to set up #Bitcoin cold storage wallet in air-gap mode - never connecting the device to the internet.
Thank you nostr:npub1rxysxnjkhrmqd3ey73dp9n5y5yvyzcs64acc9g0k2epcpwwyya4spvhnp8 for another great educational session on self-custody.
