Misinformation! Take it down! Close their bank accounts! Ban them from the interwebz!

-- The People Who Know The Truth

CBDC - tyrannical statist's perfect dream.

Bitcoin (today) - tyrannical statist's nuisance, but due to lack of privacy and weak pseudonimity can be coerced and turned into statist's dream. This is ongoing.

Monero - statist's nightmare, s/he's so unsure of the value their institutions provide, they need to make sure they see all the plebs do, so they can steal^H^H^H^H^H tax the plebs and guarantee themselves an income by force, not by voluntary cooperation. True challenge to the status quo, although really it just brings normalcy back (no eternal breadcrumb trail of financial actions) after the first few decades of computing taking humanity by storm. Has additional benefits, like instant global reach, which was not possible without technology.

---

Key point to understand: Most Monero users would like #bitcoin to be more like #monero - it's not either/or.

If you're in for the freedom aspect, I honestly don't think it is possible without the privacy and anonymity aspects.

Which is exactly why the enemies of freedom (raging Statists) keep attacking #privacy and anonymity.

Makes sense, we should put Nature in prison for providing oxygen to criminals everywhere, computer manufacturers for allowing criminals to use the hardware, supermarket clerks and restaurant owners for selling food to criminals, without which they would not have the calories to perform their misdeeds, operating system programmers for allowing bad people to run programs on their OS, and so on and so forth.

Makes sense... if you're an out of control ignorant boomer who never quite understood technology and who believes in complete control over others.

And to think this is not even peak clown world yet..

This is copium.

You always have zero privacy with onchain bitcoin, everything you do is forever recorded and public.

You get some pseudo-anonymity, which as all but the maxiest of maxis and the normiest of normies have realized by now is not enough, was never enough, and will never be enough.

Hal Finney was right.

And on every step along the way the people who said it would end up like this were called conspiracy theorists.

Seems the last few years is a great time to be a "conspiracy theorist".

Well, I'd say it's not so much because it's an object per se, more like it has become an external part of your central nervous system, which doubles as a technology-mediated telepathy device.

Respectfully, the answer to misguided Bitcoin maximalism is not misguided Monero maximalism.

Sad

But expected. Haveno will pick up a lot of the slack, but we're dealing with tyrants, whitelisting incoming transfers to bank accounts in the future to "catch terrorists" and "combat financial crime" is not, I would argue, outside the real of possibility.

How the sheeple cannot understand that the whole point of "hate speech" laws is to prevent the masses from criticizing the plans of the elites really blows my mind.

Don't be racist they say, as they import millions of people BASED ON THEIR RACE and AGAINST THE WILL OF THE LOCAL PEOPLE.

So they can select an attribute, race, and sow discord by importing millions, but YOU cannot point out that people from that race are commiting a very disproportionate amount of crimes.

If you wanted to be extra cynical, you could even say this very attribute was selected as a backdoor because of Europe's past (WW2) as they know the people of Europe are sensitive to the topic.

All I know for sure is that the politicians who have expedited the invasion are traitors, they hate the native populations (so basically they are racist, they accuse us all of what they are), and they want to sow chaos and misery for their own ends.

One day the people will wake up, and it won't be pretty.
