If one day we wake up and recategorized bitcoin as a renewable tulip bulb, or a centralized beanie baby.. i’d say figure out what went wrong and re-engineer the solution. If bitcoin maxi’s all got wiped out for this thought experiment.. they’d be more incentivized than ever to create a system that works and provide value to it via proof of their own work.

Given what I know now, it’d be hard to just flop back to working for the other system.

FiancĆ© just mentioned she wishes we had more ornaments. I’m over here like, ā€œWait, that’s a game we’re playing?ā€ Say less. Time to stack ornaments. šŸŽ„

I'm curious to hear if there's any difference of opinion and why.

I eat rice and oats occasionally and it doesn't bother me, but I went a long time without either.

I read a book called Against the Grain—great read. One of the key takeaways is that societies historically relied so heavily on grains partly because they’re easier to tax. Grains like rice are uniform in size, store well, and are easy to measure. By contrast, something like a sweet potato harvest is much harder to tax because of the irregular sizes and shapes.

The author also compares bone records between large agrarian societies and so-called ā€œbarbariansā€ who consumed more protein and fats. Interestingly, the ā€œbarbariansā€ showed healthier bone density than their grain-eating counterparts.

Another great book by the artist is seeing like a state. Very eye opening book

Stack as much as you can and throw it in cold storage. Your grandchildren will thank you. Leave the pricing on the lots for easy accounting

Leave your fiat mindset behind—this is a whole new system. Remember, technology is supposed to make things cheaper, better, and faster, yet prices keep rising. Grocery stores, for example, replaced half their workforce with self-checkout kiosks to cut costs, but food prices are still at an #ATH. Stores that fail to adopt these cost-saving measures get replaced by those that do. Those that try to keep prices artificially high? They get wiped out. In a true free market, prices should fall. But fiat isn’t a free market.

Bitcoin changes the game. Your money divided by 21 million—forever. Zoom in, zoom out. Your Bitcoin within the Bitcoin network will maintain it’s purchasing power over time. As we become more productive with technology, those gains come to you.
