What predictions do you have for the future based on the current events?

I'm convinced that had the early leaders and policymakers of the Indian Republic been influenced by the ideas of Locke, Mises and Hayek instead of that of Marx, Keynes and the Webbs, we'd be living in a more free, peaceful, advanced and prosperous society today.

Our culture would've remained intact and gradually reformed for the better.

The Indian subcontinent would've become the land of the free and home of the 'based'.

The terrible phenomena of euphemisms (un-alive instead of dead), deliberate mispronunciations (corn instead of porn) or explicit spelling (S.E.X. istead of sex), to avoid moderation/algorithm implications.

It is horrible, because most of the times it is not to undermine anything, it is just trying to avoid stupid consequences while the words are used ’innocently’. It is not just sex stuff, but also COVID or whatever. Stupid games where people are fighting the machine that judges them, that can’t tell context (well enough) to figure out if anything ‘problematic’ is even going on on the one hand; and stupid blanketed moderation policies that are obvious ‘one size fits no-one’ tragedies on the other.

We need Nostr’s freedom of association for so many reasons, the current web is awful.

People say "I have nothing to hide" and then when I ask for their bank login they aren't forthcoming with the login credentials, hmmm... It's almost like they have something to hide.

I hate working with Indians. They spend all day doing nothing, then wait for you to come to the meeting. One of the most controversial aspects of centralized, legacy social media is the practice of deplatforming. This is when users are removed from the platform, often without transparency or a clear appeals process.

In some cases, users have been permanently banned with little to no explanation. When executed without clear guidelines, it can also be used to silence voices, creating a chilling effect on free speech.

I may dislike TikTok, but I understand that a government ban is effectively mass deplatforming of an entire nation. This upcoming ban showcases once again the need for decentralized social communication, a need for an open alternative, a need for Nostr.

Ignoring the public square, outside of North America ALL coordination happens on WhatsApp.

Moms groups, traffic police groups, raw milk, bars, doctors, lawyers, etc...

Facebook, Twitter, signal, iMessage, all these things don't exist.

It's ALL WhatsApp.
