Been wrestling with how to explain Bitcoin to normies without sounding like a maxi lunatic 😅

Made this video trying to break down the 6 core concepts that finally made it click for me (it actually took 5 years tbh).

Not trying to orange pill anyone - more curious if this explanation actually lands or if I’m still missing something obvious.

The whole “Bitcoin is digital gold” thing never worked for me until I understood the double spending problem first. But maybe that’s just how my brain works?

Would love other bitcoiners’ take on this approach. Too technical? Not technical enough? Do you think this would actually work on nocoiners?

You can't go wrong listening to the likes of Jeff Booth, Jack Mallers and Lawrence Lepard, to name a handful only.

Many people in Latin America and African countries get it.

Hopefully we don't need to go all the way with dead fiat before more catch on. Many sections of society are already falling to pieces.

One problem I see is that a lot of people don't know about satoshis and believe that they need to be able to afford a whole bitcoin. 🥹🫤🧡

Yeah all 3 are great! I like channels that showcase the use of it too like Joe Nakamoto and Max Demarco- helps people see the real use case.

In Prague I met tons of cyberpunks that live off BTC now- places like Madeira have a circular economy it sounds very cool! Always good to connect to other like minded people 👍

I bet in a war scenario or a major crisis the first thing they will attack will be Internet. Military and other powers do not need internet to communicate. And yes there is a way to use Bitcoin without the Internet layer but it is beyond the regular software savy expert.

Yep so true! I went to Prague recently and it’s given me a kick up the bum to actually help educate more- I realise literally no one in real life actually gets it at all, it just seems like a scam cos of all the shit coin’s and FTX stuff (which I get!)

Do you really think they cannot do that? Everybody is so skilled in Blockchain and apps but I see some lack of skills in hardware. The entire network is weak. It doesn't take so much to be taken down for real. You are all very sure layer 1 is guaranteed. It is not.

It is crazy what Trump and US are doing- literally the exact opposite of their plan just 6 months ago.

Also great point about how they could confiscate the ETFs at any time- especially if it becomes blue again in a few years. I wish more people considered this as it is a serious threat
