There’s a generational blind spot happening with money that’s wild to witness. The older generation lived through decades of slow currency debasement and can’t see it for what it is, a systematic wealth transfer from regular people to those closest to the money printer. They think inflation and declining purchasing power is just “how economics works” because it happened gradually enough to feel normal.

Meanwhile, younger people are looking at Bitcoin and seeing something their parents can’t: that money doesn’t have to be controlled by governments, and that maybe, just maybe, we’ve been getting quietly robbed our entire lives through monetary policy. The changing of the guard isn’t just about age, it’s about fundamentally different beliefs about who should control the money supply and whether citizens should have a say in their own economic destiny.

I have already supported many of my friends in setting up their self-custody Bitcoin. It was often difficult to explain what the 12/24 words are and, above all, what options there are for storing them. I always felt like an alien trying to explain to a human how a UFO works.

Now, for the first time, I have helped a colleague to set up her Bitcoin self-custody with a Bitkey. So yesterday I handed her a Bitkey and watched her set it up. It was eye-opening. Such a simple and well-thought-out process. I think I will continue to onboard bitcoin newbies with Bitkey's. She immediately lost her beads of sweat on her forehead when I told her there was an option where she didn't have to hide words. And also, she was able to add me as a recovery contact in case of an emergency, which was extremely reassuring to her and to me as well. I understand the drawbacks that exist with Bitkey (privacy, vendor lock-in, etc.), but you can't imagine how easy and straightforward this worked. Very satisfying! Who has also had this experience?

The earth has been circumnavigated east-to-west tons of times - it has NEVER been done north-south.

And doing that east-west flight (or sailing) around the flat earth would show the same on the compass as on the globe model (east the entire time for example), as compasses always point to the north pole on either model.

Around the 1:09:00 mark of the second half of the Flat Earth Dave interview I just uploaded, the guy that comes on and talks about timezones is a professional sailor who's circumnavigated the Earth multiple times himself, and became a flat-earther as a result because he saw all the inconsistencies and put the pieces together.

As for the flight paths, I decided not to dig super deeply into that one with Dave, because with all the bonus content, the 2 parts are already almost 5 hours LOL. If you went to Rumble/Bitchute/Odysee and searched "flat earth flight paths", I'm sure you could find some good resources on that

So most people living in countries cannot use bitcoin practically still have to see the USD price of bitcoin to “price everything in bitcoin”, right? Sorry, I don't use Primal much apart from posting podcasts but I thought I would share some of the work we are doing here trying to fix Bedford.

Beyond starting a football club and owning local businesses, I have become active in trying to fix the endless issues in the town.

We have economic issues, in that businesses are under pressure from the economic climate as well as growing government red tape. This is being compounded by a massive rise in anti-social behaviour. We have a plague of addiction issues, with large numbers of crackheads, alcoholics and shoplifters in the town. We have a rise in crime, including assaults on women.

This is not a good situation.

Two months ago I threatened the police, that if they did not fix the issue then I will. During August I am funding a private security initiative in the town, where 10 security guards will be deployed across the town as scarecrows, providing a security blanket for residents and businesses.

We have met with the local police and our activity will be coordinated with them. We are also trying to work with the local council too. I am considering establishing a shadow council in the town, outside of party politics, driving civic action.

Alongside the private security, we are building teams for cleaning, events and marketing to drive economic activity in the town.

I just thought I would share this. Bitcoin world has become a little stale to me, it is time to get out there and do things. The UK is pretty fucked at the moment so it is fight or flight time.

The bucket list of things I want to create once the #value4value income becomes sustainable is big and getting bigger every day

1. Far more #Nostr educational content (and time spent onboarding new creators)

2. Waaaaay more Nostr podcasts, talking to veterans and newbies alike to track and share the beautiful culure of the protocol

3. Write a book

Your absolutely right! I’m not a technical guy at all when it comes to programming and algorithms so I’m trying to wrap my head around it as well. Zapping instant value with sats definitely seems to be the most obvious advantage that NOSTR holds over traditional social media platforms. I also think that NOSTR being a decentralized, protocol, tech stack, (like BTC & E-MAIL) rather than a centralized platform (like Facebook & Twitter) gives it another clear advantage. Protocol tech stacks being more global and interoperable obviously.

Well, today would have been a clear blue sky if it weren’t for the crime against humanity also known as chemtrails. No, chemtrails is not a “conspiracy theory” and if you think so I encourage you to look up and think for yourself.

Who is doing this and for what purpose is completely beside the point. It’s happening and we the people did not consent. What would happen if I sprayed these same chemicals from an aerosol can into my neighbors yard even for 5 minutes? They would call the cops and I would be arrested for attempted murder. In my opinion this is an issue we bitcoiners need to come together to stop.

It’s also frustrating because unlike opting out of the fiat system and living on a bitcoin standard, an individual cannot really stop this on their own.

15 years I’ve been aware of this and while it seems like finally people are waking up to it, the crime continues.

I didn’t see any spraying in Bulgaria in 25 days there. I arrive in Germany and I haven’t seen a blue sky yet.
