very similar to iced coffee, do you know about the cold brew coffee preparation method? basically you grind up beans and slowly pour cold water on them and then let it sit for I guess a minimum of nine hours but often times longer.

It makes the coffee a lot smoother and cuts the bitter taste, and it’s actually quite strong on caffeine.

In this case, I added an extra ice cube at the end 😁

This one is from a coffee shop, but I recently got a cold brew kit for making it at home. I’ll post a video sometime of that process.

When I quit drinking, and I actually finally did quit, one thing, I did, that helped: every evening, when the agony would kick in, rather than drowning it all, I started to tell myself OK I am experiencing agony. I am experiencing pain I am experiencing ( insert the negative emotion of your choice). I accept that I am just going to feel this for the moment I will note the feeling rather than spiral in a story about the feeling or try to cover up the feeling.

After about a month, my life was improving. I was taking new opportunities and activities, and the emotional pain subsided, and eventually was completely gone. Replaced with a joy of life.

Yes Kat in fact, this is a huge accomplishment going three days and day four definitely can be easier.

Here’s the real secret though I learned in my time, it is your identity that needs to be realeased and replaced by a healthier identity that you will be proud of. But here’s the secret within the secret our old identity served a need for us and there’s something about it we liked. so for instance, deep down inside if you think smoking is cool (I did), then you need to find a way to gently let that go and embrace something else about you that you can be proud of and feel cool about yourself and embrace that fully. And if smoking was a stress relief, then you need to embrace other stress relief methods. It might seem simple, but yoga or meditation breath work really is effective especially if you practice it multiple times a day every day.
