Still silly to do and would not recommend but when you're new and clueless trying to give this Bitcoin thing a chance, I can see how that happens. 🙈
I think most "stock" brokerages have added withdrawals by now, even if they weren't a thing last cycle. And I would think they're much safer than crypto-exchanges. No withdrawals was probably a skill issue not a fractional reserve thing.
Too much on the line for established audited businesses vs a start-up crypto platform.

Once I tried buying/withdrawing Bitcoin from Revolut but the fees were YUGE! I still thought it was cool of them to add withdrawals, and now they accept Bitcoin deposits too, but I never tried that.
How would multisig payout work with lightning?

Yeah but Blackrock wouldn't like a Coinbase retail fiasco even if their funds would be segregated.
I don't follow, so I don't know, but I would think coinbase should shift to serve institutional clients rather than the "fractional?" casino they have atm.
I'm not one for complaining but it will be nice to not be saving much.
