Can you say whereabouts in Mexico you are? Looking for somewhere to spend a few months.
I was thinking that moderation is really the right place to integrate payments (upvote ranking should be pow imo).
Pay to post and pay to report. If a report is legit poster’s money goes to reporter, if report is bogus reporter’s money goes to moderator.
I’d prefer 3 but obviously it depends on the cost. I use tarsnap and I like how they charge, you deposit money and your balance goes down a tiny bit every second.
Better than having to pay per image or whatever.
Might be hard to run since, unlike a relay, you’ll have to figure out some kind of moderation for “bad” images.
twitter locked me out of my lurking account and demanded a phone number just in time nostr november. lol.
Weird thing is, the account was private and I never posted anything, just liked tweets and watched spaces on it.
Twitter’s obsession with kyc will be its downfall. Every time it asks me to confirm my phone number or email, I force close and open damus.
gm nostr!
great name lol
[nostril](https://github.com/jb55/nostril) --envelope --kind 0 --sec hexkey --content '{"name":"j","picture":"https://url.pic","about":"about me"}' | websocat wss://relay.damus.io
For future reference:
noscl setprivate ffff…
noscl relay add wss://relay.damus.io
noscl metadata —picture=“j.gif”
It worked, thank you! Now I’ll figure out how to publish an event to give myself an avatar
I tried. bech32_ decode returns a tuple with the nsec prefix as the first element and a list of ints as the second. I copy pasted something from stackoverflow to turn the list into bytes and then decode it… it’s possible something went wrong there. I’ll try again more carefully
haha, ok naive tagging didn’t work
Having trouble copying my nsec key to noscl. @damus @jb55 (will that work I wonder). I used fiatjaf’s python bech32_decode but it didn’t work as expected.
One thing to keep in mind is that Boltz and loop can be trustless (they implement atomic swaps) while zigzag cannot.
Tadge Dryja’s MIT course videos are amazing.
fyi damus global feed is improved by adding more relays
