In other words, while Nostr might be censorship resistant from outside forces, prudence dictates a certain amount of self-censorship, and any missteps can never be taken back.
Use case: you've posted a meme that the government suddenly decides is illegal. The penalty is 10 years in prison. Your scrupulosity has been lax at times, and there's a chance that the feds could trace your note to your IP address.
What would you do?
Nostr is great for censorship resistance. You can run your own relay and there's nothing anybody can do about it.
But what if you want to scrub your notes from the Internet and completely disappear? Is this even possible?
#[0] have you thought about this? Anybody else?
They could probably get a lot of mileage out of giving away money. I bet a lot of people would try it out for 1000 sats.
It's really nicely done; I just don't see how they're going to overcome the network effect.
Basically it’s like Nostr, except prettier and with fewer people.
I got on it. The app is nicely designed, I like the idea of value for value. Your Sats are deposited into a custodial wallet and whenever you comment funds are held until you’re verified or your comment is approved. Some of the communities charge Sats to post or comment. You can set up your own community and charge for membership. All interesting but they are struggling with network effect or lack thereof.

Anyway I'm not sure how you would not comply with this. It literally gives the State power to destroy you and grind your pathetic little resistance into oblivion.
I'm old enough to remember when Donald Trump tried to ban Tin Tok and they called him a tyrant for it. Now the same people are cheering for actual tyranny under the same pretense. Insane and frustrating.
This has always been about dragging as many souls to hell as possible.
They do, and this bill would give them broader powers to do it for more reasons, which is why it must be opposed.
