Reading the Bible is only a spiritual experience if you do it by your own volition. Many Christian and Jews have an ill feeling about the Bible because it was given to them under conditions that were without respect.
When you read it on your own by your own desire you realize that all of the teachings from others were incorrect, omitting details, political, self serving or poor timing. Maybe they were just poor introductions. It doesn't matter. It's up to you to discover the truth and by the grace of God you will.
The Old and New Testament are Testaments. That means that these are the representative words of direct experience. They are not journalist's musings. They are not advertiser sponsored native ads. These are the testimony of those who experienced the grace of God and they are sharing this with you.
The proof or truth in these writings and oral history is the lack of perfection in those who have been documented and described. There also is a consistent theme that if we engage in deception we pay a heavy price. There is also another theme that if we follow God with Love we will be successful. Moreso if we directly ask God for his help and wisdom we will gain favor by collaboration.

Have a great day. If you want to have the power of creation at your fingers get a copy of the Bible and read it. Better yet, get down on your knees and pray to God that he will give you the truth, whatever it is, and that he will begin blessing you with it.
If you have a hard time with the words "God, Jesus, Christ" or terms alluding to such then do not worry. We have been indoctrinated into a civilization that has redefined truth and specifically has demonized it. The question is, What is reason to speak ill of the Gospel? Where is the centralized source that has to be stopped?
