Ethiopia Yirgacheffe is my favorite. Costa Rica and Panama have some great coffee beans too that are great with a lighter roast.

I forgot I had an old facebook account I hadn't logged into in a while. Things are interesting over there. Stay weird nostr.

Sounds like the only solution is more energy usage for AC. Even if human caused climate change was real it would take another 100 years to reverse. Fossil fuels will save lives.

I've been using fountain to stream sats for podcasting 2.0, but im definitely looking for a better alternative. I've heard Breez is good so I may look into that. As far as I know, none of those wallets support LNURL pay so I dont think I can use them to receive zaps? I'm working on getting zaps sent to my node, but Tor is kind of annoying with that.
Yeah cherry picking quotes is a good way to intentionally mislead people. I guess WOS think they are not a financial institution 😉
It’s been a good couple of days for Brains pool. Hopefully the luck continues to hold out.
You make good points here, trade offs are very important to understand . The main difference I’m trying to point out is starting off people new to bitcoin with a custodial service is irresponsible, especially when the risks are not truly understood. Something like Phoenix is easy enough that I would personally never risk using WOS but to each their own.
How does anyone expect a smooth(er) transition from the incumbent financial system if the solution is custodial services? We might as well just use Venmo and have banks backed with paper gold.
A fundamental feature of bitcoin is that it requires personal responsibility. We do a disservice to others when we assume they can’t handle that responsibility and onboard them to custodial services when they obviously don’t understand the risks involved.
It’s open source software for a reason, Satoshi was wrong about a lot of things. Also, there is a difference between an experienced user making the decision to use a custodial wallet for convenience despite the risks and onboarding a new user to custodial when they obviously don’t understand the risks.
