Can anyone in the #btc community tell me why we should be excited about institutions adopting Bitcoin? Why should we be excited about ETFs from the companies we blame for our current issues?
They say #Bitcoin is better, but if it can be swallowed by the beast is it better? Either the beast digests it and takes its energy or Bitcoin destroys the beast from within.

How many of you on #nostr are doomers that think things are about to get really bad? How many of you feel it’s being overblown?
I keep going back and forth.
Not sure what to really focus on because the news cycle has been on fire and it’s hard to find the signal with all the noise.

Real-world depopulation. Online world population (AI) and if it happened slowly enough, no one would notice. Sources eventually become AI bots, harder to tell what’s really happening. The real people will have no idea.
But that’s a really negative dark way to think about it. I’d like to believe in humanity and it’s ability to come up with other ways of communicating. But I dip the toes in crazy ideas just to not feel too comfortable with any idea.

Very true and a good point. They all deal with technology/software though and all have human intervention.
For all the positives, there has to be negatives. To put blame on companies/people is completely valid. People and companies will determine how Bitcoin is utilized. So what could be the negatives?
Saw this about #bitcoin and you think it’s a great point until you realize that most of the technological advances have led to higher user costs…
Taxis are sometimes cheaper than Ubers now. That never happened 7 years ago. Get us in with cheap prices. Hooked on convenience. Cost goes up.
AirBNBs are hotels without the room service. So you now pay extra for cleaning OR have to clean yourself. It’s not cheaper.
Amazon is still cheaper than in store usually. But now when you want to go to a store…a lot of them have closed down leaving fewer options.
Netflix was cheap with great wide ranging selections. Now it’s expensive and a lot of great shows are on different services you have to pay for.
So this makes me wonder. What are the downsides/negatives of #Bitcoin that we are failing to see?

There is a massive psychological attack underway.
Trump and/or his followers believe he is the chosen one. (If true, that is scary. If false, that is scary)
The dems/elites are a satanic cult. (If true, that’s scary. If false, it’s scary how many people believe it.)
The concept of money has been under attack since #Bitcoin, but the awakening of inflation and the inability to purchase a home has really undercut the psychology of money.
We are under an attack because people who do not want or can not think about these things in a reasonable way will follow the person who has the best rhetoric towards their beliefs. We have a system built on limited truth.
I don’t have solutions. But I do see how we are being attacked and yet both sides just blame the other.

Eliminate screen time.
Reduce porn.
News is fake.
Now leverage social media and online platforms to multiply your wealth.
Become a coach and be independent!
Read books a build businesses.
Isn’t building cheap online businesses apart of the matrix? Isn’t leveraging social media and online platforms using the matrix’s tools to just imbed yourself deeper into it? Or am I obtuse?
Yes the 9-5 is a drag and not real. However, having millions of online coaches is also not real. They are just rat chasing a different version of the same dream. 
Both can be true.
I’d fear for humans overall because the vast majority of people don’t want to be creative or to work hard. They want what is easy. Easy grades, easy job, easy money. If AI provides that…then critical thinking goes down in the masses.
Services and productivity going up is excellent for those that want to benefit from that, either as a company or as a user.
Most believe believe politics is a show. I’m more convinced that we (the people) are just being messed with.
The fact that anyone is siding with the Democrats, Republicans, or the Trumplicrats is mind blowing to me.
There is no way that what is happening isn’t just a large distraction to create apathy in those that just want to live their life and create anger in those that “care” about these topics.
Civil discussion any topic from both sides is dead. Democracy dies in the dark and they are creating a huge shadow. Yet no one cares or notices. The general population is just clinging to their side hoping they will be saved by people who clearly don’t care about the general population.
Not saying all of the elected officials are bad, but in a broken system you might as well get what’s best for you, because you can’t fix it from the inside alone.
I need too. But with the majority of people still there, it feels worthwhile to pay attention (for now) but I’m scaling back usage big time!

Just lean in to being yourself no matter what. Making friends is like dating…just keep going back and if they start to reach out to you it can grow…but if it is one sided abandon ship.
Social skills grows by being social. That’s why it’s a skill.
