Agreed. Humans can bullshit themselves but we cannot lie to ourselves regarding something we know to be true. It would lead to discomfort to force a thinking where 1+1=3 because we know that’s not the truth.
If there is no truth fundamentally the logical progression would be that there are no lies. I am extremely confident there are lies so that line of thinking is very problematic to me. I’ve started to understand the shaky foundation of my previously relativistic mental model through contemplation and being honest in my logical progressions.
Truth exists and we become more human by seeking and conforming to them. Just my perspective 🙂

I’ve wondered the same thing. 12 seems way more manageable in a situation where memorization is required (like when fleeing a country) but 24 words seems to be the norm.
