90 days wow

Now thats balls right there ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Man is in a rush to bake a humble pie ๐Ÿ˜—

For who though ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

some top shelf hopium right there

shall try as well ๐Ÿค™

Thatโ€™s a pretty safe bet though. If you lose the hyperinflation saves you.

Sus. Who would benefit from speeding up the "suddenly"?

People who already have a lot of bitcoin, which I imagine Balaji does.

And CBDC pushers?

still lost in smart contract USDC land, I see ๐Ÿ™„

90 days to hyperinflation!๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Does he know something we donโ€™t? 90 days is wack

90 days is kind of bonkers. I did not see that being the timeframe of the bet.

Insane bet dude is getting rekt lol

Besides, winning is bittersweet too.

This guy is retarded. He's probably just being over enthusiastic because it looks like his eth bags are gonna dump.

Interesting and virtually risk-free bet offer from James:

If hyperinflation materializes and he loses the bet be can pay off the debt with worthless money (especially if he hedges his bet by buying bitcoin). If hyperinflation doesn't materialize, he collects a million dollars.

Balji's counter-offer is, not only betting on inflation, but that the dollar will exceed 40:1 devaluation against bitcoin. This offer is non-sensical because, if Balaji believes in a hyperinflation, he would be better off buying 1 million dollars worth of bitcoin at $26k (almost 40 BTC).

But maybe I'm missing something?

If he thought that would happen in 90 days, why not just use the million to buy bitcoin without the 3rd party risk? Whatโ€™s the upside?

Though the bet James offered is brilliant: if hyperinflation and you lose the million is worth very little. If not, and you win, the million is worth, well, what a million is currently worth.

Smart bet if he loses, in real terms he pays nothing.

Iโ€™m fairness, the inflation adjusted cost of losing that bet is kinda reasonable.

I'll bet $1 million it doesn't reach 1 million in 90 days. Funny thing is, i'd actually have money to spare if i'm wrong

90 days for hyperinflation? ๐Ÿ˜‚ heโ€™s totally lost it
