Yes, it should work if you save it into the nip05 field in your profile.

The username that you can change in "edit profile" is not unique. However, nip05 names such as sirius@iris.to are unique.

⚡️ Do you have a NIP05 address?

For example: bob@example.com

add iris.to in front of it and boom you have a Nostr profile link that you can share easily

If your NIP05 is _@example.com the link is even shorter: iris.to/example.com
