A night of painting. Working in some of the color into the WIP wallet from Beserk.
All red may be a bit challenging but i am going to play with the shading of it. Layering that base red over the black is important since Black is a harsher color it takes a few layers to get that base down.
From there i will probably end up doing a darker red, just to start getting a more shadowed feel in it. Same for the Rose, and then the final will be doing some small detailing with Black.

Finally able to get someone to work on a web page for me! Big steps. Any other thoughts? Feel free to toss in some ideas as well please.
The dream is a few galleries with photos of work I have done. Nice pictures of them (going to try and be professional) where you can select a photo and have it open up more images of the piece, a description and average pricing. Also it would allow customers to submit for a quote on custom work. Eventually I think blog style work would be cool and if im coordinated enough i will do mid process photos for the pieces as well.

Hello all!
Just a view of a belt I made for the Ren Faire. It is a ring belt, and it is all hand stitched down the side, hand dyed and hand painted.
This also shows the pattern piece I did as a template for all the colors and stitching. This i usually do to send over to a customer for approval.

Hey Dan - so there are a few steps involved there and probably more than you were looking for lol.
The design itself is carved in using a tool called a swivel knife. Then to get it “popped” from the background you use a beveler and hammer.
From there I used an angelus leather paint. After I apply desired coats or colors I wait for it to dry.
Next to have the color stay more vibrant/stand out a bit before staining I added a resist clear coat (usually I apply 2 coats).

Here is some custom Leather coasters with images throughout the process of creating them!
Each coaster was hand cut, hand carved, hand painted, hand stitched and hand dyed.
The coasters also have suede backing stitched to the back.
The coasters were finished with a leather balm, pro resist and mink oil.
A total of four coasters were made.

I plan on starting a new project soon in leather working. Something for Rein Faire, im thinking a custom pouch or a chest plate. No idea yet.
Either way, here is some silver/gold work I have done. I soon plan to post some more in progress images/videos as well, just need to finish my set up!
This photo is a bit of a throw back. All my silver stuff is hand made. It starts out as a silver sheet and is cut from a piece of metal, hand filed, hand set stones, hand designed, hand soldered and hand polished!
